Mt. Sac nursing 2017

Published

Hi guys,

I just submitted my application to Mt. Sac just a few days ago. I know they are taking applications until Sept. 1, 2016. This application period is for a start date Spring 17'

I'll be posting any updates on here, hopefully others will also contribute to their experience or updates on their process.

Do you have to accept the offer on the spot? I'm still waiting on another school's decision that won't be released till early November so I'm not ready to commit or withdraw just yet...

And with the cutoff being at 77, does that mean 77 AND above are in or 77 & below are alternates?

When they send out offical letters during the first week of November it will have the deadline to accept or deny. If you don't reply to the email by deadline your seat will given to the next person on waitlist.

Not sure if 77 or above is in or not. But you have to have seat 1-60 to be guaranteed a seat.

I had my appt today. I'm #48 on the list so she said I am for sure in! Still waiting on the official email but I'm super happy for now!

congrats!!! I knew I saw your name on the list!

See you all January!

While waiting for the final acceptance letter, I went ahead and applied for finacial aid, I got approved! Also I'm looking into the student loans they offer. I will be attending a information session Thursday, Oct. 20.

Any news or updates for alternates?

Heads up, I've been told that if you're new to Mt. Sac you have to take the reading assessment to graduate. Unless you have a bachelor's, I have associates degrees from another college, and it's still required.

#45 @ 79 pts !

Applying for financial aid was easy, I did it through Fafsa. Mt. Sac receive my application and I was approved within a few weeks.

I did attend the entrance counseling for a student loan, this is required in order to apply for a loan, it was 20 minutes long. They went through the steps to apply and gave general information such as amounts allowed, interest rates, due dates and such.

Congrats!!
