Mt. Sac Nursing Spring 2019

Published

Hello everyone,

I decided to make this post to connect with others who will be applying to Mt. Sac's program for the Spring of 2019. After calculating my points for the multicriteria screening I'm currently at 52 points before the Hesi. I'm scheduled to take the Hesi on the 31st. Really hoping to end up with 77-80 points, I've read that the cutoff is usually around 77 points so I'm praying that will be the case this year as well. Although I saw a comment on the Fall 2018 thread & someone got in with 72 points as an alternate. I'll also be applying to Chaffey, San Bernardino Valley & Western Governors University.

Good luck everyone!

We'll see soon huh guys!? The end of the application period for Valley is right around the corner. Honestly I'm just hoping to get into any of the 4 I'm applying to. I hope we all get in somewhere so we can begin our journies to becoming RN's! :)

*Mt. Sac! I meant Mt. Sac. Can you tell how anxious & stressed I am!? Lol

Im confusing the schools now!

I know exactly how you feel!! I submitted my application and already having anxiety. I just hope the points for the applicant pool isn't super high. I heard we will have an idea if we get a counseling email for verification after 2 weeks. GOOD LUCK!

Hey guys! So the application period closes tomorrow. Does anyone know around when they will be sending emails out?

I heard its about 2 weeks... *keeping my fingers crossed*

Ahhh yes fingers crossed! Hopefully all of us on here get emailed back.

It's Officially stress out time! 2 out of the 4 schools I applied to will be sending out responses this month & I apply to my 1st choice school this upcoming Tuesday & acceptances are mailed out before October 10th for that particular program so.... I'll know if I'm in a program or not within the next 6 weeks. Hang in there everyone!

Oh man... I still have schools to apply to as well and I think the fact that the applications are staggered make it a little better so I don't have to think too much about the responses. Is Cypress your first choice?? I still have 3 schools to apply to this month and one more in October. Have you taken the TEAS test?

Ahhh yes that's good! I on the other hand will be constantly nervous until October 10th lol & No Cypress is too far for me. Chaffey College is my 1st choice school. & Yes I already took the TEAS.

Yea, I am trying not to be nervous while filling out applications and also trying to study to take the TEAS test at the end of the month? Can I ask how would you compare it with the HESI test? Chaffey is a great school as well. I don't want to drive too far but for the time being I am willing to commute if I can get into a program. :)

I would say the Teas is longer as far as the number of questions & more in depth than the Hesi. Imo it is harder but if you study using the momentrix study book and the ATI Teas book you'll be good. I would give yourself at least a month of studying before taking it.

Has anyone heard anything yet?

Not yet. If I recall correctly emails should be sent out within 2 weeks.
