I decided to make this post to connect with others who will be applying to Mt. Sac's program for the Spring of 2019. After calculating my points for the multicriteria screening I'm currently at 52 points before the Hesi. I'm scheduled to take the Hesi on the 31st. Really hoping to end up with 77-80 points, I've read that the cutoff is usually around 77 points so I'm praying that will be the case this year as well. Although I saw a comment on the Fall 2018 thread & someone got in with 72 points as an alternate. I'll also be applying to Chaffey, San Bernardino Valley & Western Governors University.

Congrats on becoming a candidate! Well from what I heard they usually send out about 100 emails to students chosen as candidates. That includes the top 60 students and then the alternates. However you can still be denied acceptance if your documents are not in order. Just make sure all of your documents are in order and you should be good! Best of luck!
As stated before me, I think it depends what number you are on their list of candidates. Has anyone called in to make an appointment? I'm waiting on transcripts so gonna time it accordingly. Let's keep each other posted. Good Luck! I hope we are all in. :)
Yes I already scheduled my appointment for Monday the 17th. I already had my transcripts ready to go lol
Awesome! Keep us posted! I totally forgot about one of my transcripts for some reason but as anxious as I am, I am in no rush. I think we have to wait til November? to find out if we are officially in. The emails were sent a lot quicker than I expected which I am happy about, hopefully they will be quick with the official notifications too. Is Mt. Sac your first choice?
I scheduled an appointment this morning around 8:30 am, and I was able to get one for next Tuesday at 2:45 pm. I will keep you guys updated. Best of wishes everyone!

Has anyone had any trouble making a counseling appointment? I just called to schedule my appointment and was told that I couldn't schedule it today and I should call back Monday. Seems kind of odd. I also identified myself as a candidate to the nursing program.

That's interesting because I called today as well but I didn't have an issue making an appointment today. Hopefully you will have more luck tomorrow.
