Hi everyone !!! After 5 years I finally decided to pick up where I left off. Time to apply for nursing school
Application period is July 1st - September 1st. I'm coming in with 54 points pre-HESI. Just wanted to wish anyone else out there applying to Mt. SAC good luck with the HESI tomorrow
I have yet to see a thread on this particular application period for Mt. SAC so I hope many more join this thread as we proceed with this tedious journey.
Yea! I also I saw on previous posts from last semester I think the lowest score was 74.5 and they got in. I saw someone with 70 and they got on the alternate list. I've been stalking previous posts also! ;-) I'm still so nervous because you just never know. What if this semester the bar is raised?! Thank you so much for posting about transcripts not being over 90 days old!!!! I have to order new ones. My appointment is October 13. Please keep us posted about what they say!
I didn't know that the transcripts need to be within 90 days. I've always kept sealed ones in my file in case I needed them. The ones I submitted to the admissions office were a couple of years old and they were fine with it.
I'm at 77 points and my appt. is Oct. 2nd. I have my emails go directly to my phone. I was about to start work, so I couldn't post until my break.

so true you never know I'm positive I heard mrs. Clarke mention no more than 90 days old because many people have them stashed sealed for years but call and double check so you don't waste money !

omg your appt is this Friday that's awesome ! Please let us know what they say. Yea I could have sworn mrs Clarke mentioned this during the workshop. She said it didn't matter for the unofficial scanned ones but it did for the one on one appt to verify. But please call and double check don't want to freak you out for no reason
thank you yclario! You saved me some cashI didn't attend an info session. Did they go over the admission process or anything that isn't covered on their website?
They only covered the application process, because there were a few people who actually took pictures of sealed envelopes of their transcripts and submitted them in their application.
This verification process is the last leg. From there, they will select the ones who scored high on their multi-criteria screening and send their offers. Then the candidates will either accept or deny the offer.

Oh my goodness ! Honestly that's why I didn't chose to have my emails from there forwarded because I was afraid of a glitch and missing then becoming a horror story like Mrs. Clark was talking about. I just became a creeper checking my email constantly lol.
Im coming in at 79 points and based on the (I feel like a nerd when i says say based on but hell at least you know I'm factual and evidence based lmao!) previous blogs and past cohort, those with a 72 and above got in and 71 and slightly under were alternates. Now it can change every cohort but at least we get an estimate on the parameters.
When is your appointment?
