Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hi,I am new here and it feels good reading through the messages on this site. I am a BSN graduate and I took the exam few times and failed. I studied so hard and yet seems like it's not enough. Everybody tells me how good i am but I seriously dont understand why I have not passed. I did tons of questions and kaplan already.Ive spent hours and hours answering questions and i keep asking myself what else do i need to do. I have tried pretty much all of it. the last time i took it, it felt like i did it. My friends and co workers would always tell me that i'm really good in nursing and taking care of patients even better than the ones who already passed. Every time i would answer questions i would get good results. What else should I do? I feel so depressed and frustrated. I love nursing and I believe I deserve to be one. I dont want to loose hope, please help me.:scrying:

Thanks!

Maybe you should take a review course, read the questions VERY carefully and try to practice finding out what the questions are really asking, they can be tricky. Don't loose heart the road to success is ALWAYS bumpy, Good Luck! I'm rooting for ya!;)

Hi and thanks for your time. I did attend a review class already, I felt like i did benefit from it because i get good response from the questions that i have answered. I seriously dont know whatelse to do or what other review material i should use.

I took the Kaplan and about 2000 questions before taking the test....and I passed it...the computer stop asking any question after I had completed the question # 75. You must read the questions very very carefully....then use the method of elimination....sometimes you can eliminate two answers right away....sometimes you have to think very hard....critically thinking is the basic foundation....

By the way, I remember I always spent 7 or 8 hours a day until 1 to 2 days before the exam to study....4 hours on the materials provided by Kaplan and the rest of the 3 to 4 hours...I only studied those questions and when I solved those questions I always made sure it was about the same time I was going to take the test....in my case I took the test at 1 p.m. and I always started to do those questions around 1 p.m.

I hope my method will help you.

Good luck!
