Mountain View Spring 2020 application.

Published

Hello everyone I am just starting a thread to see if anyone else plans on applying to Mountain View in the fall for spring 2020. Or anyone who goes there how many points should I strive for to get into the programs. Hope to hear from y’all.

If you choose to finish one of the two classes during the ADN program, you'll have a transitional semester before you start at TT as an actual degree seeker and that is to complete your 2nd course and pass the NCLEX. So I'm pretty sure you'll have one transitional semester before starting even with both courses done. All pending on NCLEX exam.

So, we can only take one of the classes and not all two? Because my understanding is that, we can take 6 credits (2 courses) while enrolled in the ADN, then take the NCLEX, and finish the remaining 24 credits for BSN.

Deeng it, I now see the answer. Thanks. I read on MVC website a few days ago that the second 3 credit course will depend on if enough students enroll--so the course won't be possible without having enough students.

You can take both classes either before you start the ADN or while you're in the ADN program. I'm choosing to take both of them beforehand. I already took the Issues and Trends in Nursing course but I need the other one. I have a balance owed for that class so once I pay that off, I will enroll for Spring 2020 so I can take the second class.

That's awesome, thanks. How much do these classes cost for in-state students?

Roughly $2600 out of pocket. FA does not cover this as you'll be degree seeking. However, they do have a grant and other options available to pay for it.

Is 2600 for both classes? How is the class? What are the coursework? Is the professor accessible most of the time you needed help? How much is the book? Sorry too many questions.

Yes $2600-2700 roughly. I say that because there are fees associated with making payments so it can be more than that but aobut half that for one class. The class was easier than my cc classes. Professor was very laid back. I got an A in the class. It's not hard at all. And I never used the book for this class. You can pass without it. This is for Issues and Trends in nursing so now sure how the other class was set up but for this one is was definitely very easy.

The classes are pricey but they do offer payment plans. When I took both classes, we used the book heavily but the teacher didn’t mind if we used an older version. IMO they are fairly easy classes as long as you stayed on top of the rubric for each portion. My Professors were intense on APA and the courses def included a lot of writing.

Thank you. You're dispensing very useful info here!

So, you think it would be fairly easy to complete both classes in one summer? Thanks!

I'm a bit confused about what the "health insurance" we supposed have entails.

Is it or just regular health insurance?

How much does it cost per semester?

Do you know specific insurance that's cost-effective?

Please enlighten me if you have answers to the aforementioned questions. Thanks.
