Hey guys! I was just wondering if anyone here is applying for the ADN program at MSMC for Spring 2010...

ANd if anyone has gone to any information sessions..

Let me know! I'm looking into MSMC and I really wanna get in!

Itmay not be an easy or direct path to where your going but you'll figure out a way. I can tell. If we both go to MSMC should meet up and swap stories.

@futurenicunurse, I called undergraduate admissions office today and the lady there said not everybody will be interviewed before getting accepted. They'll probably interview people who they are sitting on the fence about, ya know? I tried to coax a little more info from her and ask when in June the letters were going out, early, mid or late June and she put up the wall on that one heheh :p She said she doesn't know the answer to that one.

If we all get in, we need to meet!

Oh and btw on another post, you asked if it still says "AA.NUR/PRE" and mine still does. I think they automatically have it like that for everyone. I am 100% sure I have all the pre-reqs to go into direct to nursing as per their website, I would be surprised if not:

I asked about the AA-Pre Nursing when I called to find out when they would be sending out acceptance letters. The person who answered the phone said everyone's acct. says that. I wasn't sure if all my prereq's were going to transfer so I asked if I'd be offered a spot at their school to finish retake them if they didn't transfer and I was told yes.

Woohoo thats the kind of answer I needed to hear right now.

Are you unsure about your transfer credits also?

No I was applying as a prenursing lvn bridge student since I don't have the sciences.

Ah. I thought you had to take the sciences as a part of your LVN training? I guess not :)

I'll probably need to retake Chemistry and Anatomy. I have a Cal Grant that I don't want to go to waste this year so I hope I can get in somewhere! I'd hate for it to go to waste.

Yeah you do take the a+p as part of the lvn training but it doesn't count for the rn program bc it was at the trade school level.

@tothepointelvn: yup whatever happens, im not giving up my dream :) if i have to go a different route than i orignally planned..ill go for it if i have to. we all should meet up if we all get in :)

@nakgirl: oh ok thank u for checking and asking the admissions! hopefully they take all my prereqs. well ..case by case basis could also mean they will only interview that ones that they liked the applications of. but then yea theres been people who got accepted without being interviewed so u could be right..hopefully it'll be like that for me.

@bwaheed: thats good to hear! thanks for letting us know!

I think also if you didn't go to meet a counsellor or had a weak personal statement they might interview you. They've been doing this for so long they don't need to interview everyone.

yea i was gonna meet with a counselor. i really should have.

The letters go out in June for Spring 2010 admission? I'm confused? When did you all apply? Isn't the deadline sept?
