so i got accepted at 2 community colleges and at mount st mary's. hmmm.. still deciding which one to accept...
congratulations to everyone who got in!! wohoo!!
wow congrats!!! i wish i applied to community colleges but they needed all prereqs to be done before applying and i had like one class in progress for CC's. arent they lottery??? ur sooo lucky!!
the two school i applied to adapted a new selection process based on total points (gpa, teas, previous degree, 2nd language, experience, etc.) i applied at cerritos college which was based on lottery and didn't get in there.
i'm still undecided though which one to choose from since i heard that some of these schools are very very tough. im trying to find out the attrition rate / pass rates for the schools i was accepted to.
ooh cool congrats! i only applied to csu fresno and mount st. marys realy..csu san marcos said i turned in my transcripts late :/ oh well.
good luck on choosing! :)

I'm not a citizen and not planning to be anytime soon so that automatically cuts out the VA for me. I have never really heard of their being problems with MSMC students getting into hospitals at least not the way WCU grads have been denied

Msmc should still be accredited, otherwise it wouldn't be listed on the state's BON website.
What i am saying is that NLN and CCNE accrediation are required by some employers like the VA. Its something I didn't give a lot of thought to before entering nursing school, and when the economy is tight like now, and new grads are jobless for upwards of 1 year, you probably shouldn't be entering yourself into a situation where doors are closed to you because of your education. If you do plan to go on and get your BSN immediately after your ADN, most rn-bsn school even the Internet schools are NLN/CCNE accredited. The mistake of so many is to let getting into nursing school blind you. Its better to wait it out if you have the opportunity and other schools have space. THINK THIS OUT!
School accreditation and nursing accreditation are two totally seperate things. The BRN does not accredit schools, they merely approve them for eligibility of students to seek licensure.
so as long as i get my bsn right after my adn, u thi k
ill be ok?
