Hi everyone, just wanted to start a thread for those of us that applied for Mount's Fall ADN program. The application deadline is coming up next week (4/01/19) and just wanted to keep in touch with everyone that applied for this Fall.
Good luck everyone!
Update: I still haven't heard from MSMU. I called and they said they were still working on applications up until end of Dec. So we shall see. But I did apply for Santa Ana College LVN-RN Advance placement program. There is a wait list but I'll give it a shot. @Elleveein you should try to apply. The prereqs are the 3 sciences and english 101. It's nights and weekend program as well.

Hi Steph, unfortunately ALL nursing programs are just as disorganized if not worse than MSMU. The good news is that you will be graduating on time despite the quarantine whereas other programs have forced the students to repeat the semester or delayed incoming students for an entire year.
Although, I do hear you because people’s perception of MSMU is skewed until they actually become students and realize it’s all smoke and mirrors (according to my friend whose currently a student). As for me, I go to a different program and it’s just as disorganized maybe worse but we’re all hanging in there!

I am an actual student, I speak from experience. I know of quite a few schools that won't make their student repeat anything. But I agree with you we all have to hang in there in these though times! I hope they don't make you repeat anything !!
I'm with you steph17, I haven't heard of any school asking anyone to repeat, I'm also a student at MSMU, graduating in December, and yea even before Covid19 the school is disorganized, and I don't feel like I'm getting a good education for all the money we're paying. Plus to have the WORST NCLEX scores by FAR in the whole state of CA can't be because the students are all "lazy" or don't study (what some faculty has told me) as if EVERY other school in the state has geniuses. They don't prepare their students well because these classes are not well organized. I feel like to pass the NCLEX you have to literally work twice as hard to self study as you would at another school, even though you should be doing that anyways, the school should prepare you at least a little, I don't think MSMU does at all.

I've heard that the BSN program is actually good and their NCLEX passing rate is high for them. But yeah for the ADN program is not good and I feel the same way you feel! A lot of people do!!. I'm also going to prepare myself by using UWORLD, and the Saunders book. they are a good preparation that's what I've heard from some people. I really want to begin preparing myself and like you said self study, we literally have no choice.
I wish you good luck !! because we all need it in these tough times.
thanks you too! I was gonna do UWORLD, but was planning on doing all of the Kaplan questions, since we paid for Kaplan already, and might as well use it as much as I can. I graduate in December so was thinking of getting UWORLD around October. What do you think? So you're gonna get UWORLD now, and keep buying it when it expires or?

yeah I want to get UWORLD and Saunders once I'm close to graduating and after to prepare me. I've heard from nurses during clinical rotations that UWORLD is the way to go and is very similar to NCLEX. the only down side is that its super expensive but its worth it. There is this nurse on instagram that has prepared a study guide/review and its amazing this is her ig user name: @yournusingeducator. I def recommend it, she sells it for 25 dollars, I've been reviewing her stuff to refresh my mind.
