Mount Saint Mary's University, ADN Fall 2019

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone, just wanted to start a thread for those of us that applied for Mount's Fall ADN program. The application deadline is coming up next week (4/01/19) and just wanted to keep in touch with everyone that applied for this Fall.

Good luck everyone!

Hi! I'm actually reapplying to the ADN fall 2019 program because I got denied admission for spring 2019:( I already mailed in my application so I'm hoping for the best. From the past threads I've read, we should be getting notification around mid-June to July.

It's now just the waiting game. I'm applying to community colleges in LA and decided to give this school a shot as well. The only thing that's concerning is their low NCLEX passing rates.

Do you mind me asking why your application was denied for Spring 2019? Was it because you were still missing a pre-requisite? I hope you receive better news this time around!

I was wondering how many of you know of other people who have attended Mount Saint Mary's Nursing program? I was reading the reviews on other websites and it seems like a lot of negative ones and horror stories with the business administration where they handle student loans and payments. Now I'm afraid what this school may entail if accepted especially when it comes to the financial part. There have been several people complaining that they are not exactly professional or honest when it comes it.

Does anyone know approximately what the monthly payments are for the ADN/LVN-ADN program? Or what is the cost for the total program?

I messed up on the self-reporting checklist so my GPA turned out lower than the requirement. This time, I worked with one of the ADN counselor and made sure my I had all the classes needed for the program. And thank you! I hope we all hear good news!!

Also, for the tuition I think it's around 45K.

At the end of the day when it comes to taking the NCLEX and passing it comes down to the individual themselves. I don't think it matters which school a person goes to that determines if they have a higher chance of passing or not. But I do understand your concern.

I agree completely - but I also believe that it adds a layer of confidence in choosing what program you attend. I also attended the info session a few weeks back and they said that the estimated total cost of the program is 60K.

Hi, If you don’t mind me asking what teas score did you apply with ? I got a 68.7 and was devastated . I know they require the minimum of a 62, but I’m debating if I should retake it .

Thanks

I got a 77% but I’m not sure how they weigh the TEAS, also they said they’ll ask for the TEAS after they’re done reviewing applications. I think they will also invite us to take the TEAS and I’ve been studying to retake it as I am also applying to National University’s BSN program. Plus I believe it’s cheaper if you take it through a school rather than outside.

@SelenaLopez Hi! I got a 73%. I took mine at University of Phoenix and it's so expensive to take it. I paid almost $100.

Hey everyone, I’m graduating from the mount next week and will be happy to answer any questions.
