Hello! I'm a resident in California and I'm torn between UMass Boston and UMass Dartmouth. Having trouble deciding which one is a better fit. I did notice that they have different nursing core classes. UMass Boston has 5 with them being at 6 credit hours versus 3 credit hours per course. UMass Dartmouth seems to focus more on holistic approaches in nursing which I find interesting. Can anyone please share their personal experience at either Universities? What is the cost of each school per semester? Work load? Group projects? How are the professors and is it hard to reach a live person when you need assistance? I greatly appreciate any insight that you may have!

Fast forward to Fall of 2021 - UMass Boston now accepts applications from ALL states for students interested in the RN-BSN online route. Would it be possible to elaborate on what the instructors are seeking for in the essays and discussion boards? What was the maximum amount of tuition paid one semester for nursing courses only not with electives? And how was the clinical portion experience for the Public Health Certificate? I was wondering if anyone can share their experience on how long it took to receive their ATT after applying for NCLEX with the BRN? I'm aware it takes approximately 8-10 weeks but has anyone received their approval sooner than that? And did some of you apply a month before they graduated or waited until they only had two weeks left as advised on the BRN website? My cohort applied three weeks before we're set to graduate so hopefully it doesn't hinder anything when it comes to processing our application.

I think there's a in person Health Assessment near the end of the program. They had zoom and video submissions due to the pandemic but next Summer it will be in person on campus. At least that's what was said by the nursing department.

I had recently applied to the Fast Track program before deadline and wasn’t aware that there was orientation. It would have been nice to attend one beforehand. Thank you for letting me know. How was Health Assessment on Zoom? Was the instructor asking to see how a Head to Toe assessment is done? Are there discussion boards? And how many essays are due per class? Thank you for the insight!
