  1. So I'm considering pursing my CRNA after just completing my FNP degree. I got it to have more options for working and to work from home possibly but I can't help but feel like I'm going to regret not getting this DNP LOL. Anyone else in the same boat?
  2. Hi, I currently work in adult ICU. I worked as staff for close to 2 years and have been traveling for the last 2 years. I'm now looking to transition to NICU or PICU or both. I love being in an intensive care unit and feel that working with kids/newborns will be so much more fulfilling. I have a few permanent positions calling me back so I just wanted to hear from you NICU/PICU nurses. Do you guys enjoy the field?
  3. I wear my own that I purchased. I'm a travel nurse and haven't had any issues so far with management telling me I couldn't.
  4. Hi there! Is there anyone else that will be attending Carlow's FNP program starting Fall 2021? Or even previous students. Just want to know how you liked the program.
  5. I literally had this experience last month while on my current travel assignment. I was like "can I do what I'm doing for the next 10 years?" And my answer was no (And Im only two years into nursing) So I enrolled to get my Informatics degree to branch off into IT.
  6. It's not the end of the world. Just practice it wherever you go. Worst thing a nurse can do is simply not try.. You can attempt and if you don't get it let someone know so you can get help.
  7. Fastaff has some that are like 4 week or even 2 weeks. Of course those are the ones you work every day of the week and whatnot. Look also on Nursefly. It pretty much combines a bunch of agencies and assignments on one site.
  8. I had one year of med surg experience and 6 months of ICU experience before I landed my first travel gig right in the middle of this pandemic LOL Go for ICU. You know how to assess and know how to titrate meds. Give yourself honest feeback and if you feel you can safely care for and advocate for your patient and yourself, go for it ? I havent looked back since
  9. I currently travel as an ICU nurse. I had one year of med surg experience and 6 months of ICU before I started doing local travel assignments in the ICU. Prior to me starting, I felt very comfortable in doing what an ICU nurse needed to do to keep a patient alive. Do I know everything? Absolutely not, I still learn and see new things at each hospital I've been to. It's really about you being able to honestly self evaluate your skills, etc and being open to constructive criticism. Good luck! ?
  10. UMUC RN-BSN ?
  11. Hola! I currently am completing my RN-BSN @ UMUC now. Lots of discussion post replies and paper assignments lol
  12. Good for you! ADN graduate here AND i work in a Magnet hospital. Screw whoever had anything negative to say. Focus on getting your RN then enroll for your BSN. Majority of the nurses with a BSN are going into management roles so now hospitals need bed side nurses.. so yes you're hire-worthy and marketable! Good luck!
  13. ADN program. Started with 64, about 23 walked. Our psych professor was E V I L that semester.
  14. i hoppeeeee sooo, im the sameee way! Phd in Procrastination but I work well under pressure ughh
