  1. Yup, she even had the nerve to complain about how the social media posts from MSMU were too harsh, as if that’s relevant to us students, and don’t they have a right to complain? And why is she worried more about that then getting us back n tract?
  2. I'm a student at MSMU LA, and I was supposed to graduate in December. But they just notified us that we are not going to graduate until May 2021 because they have given us an incomplete after 5 weeks of taking courses, and I have to repeat the class I was taking this semester. They held a meeting with the students yesterday, and they were defensive, disparaging, and unwilling to listen to any students' grievances. They said that the California BRN doesn't leave them a choice but to do this and we will not be taking theory classes separately because that's what the BRN stipulates. This contradicts other schools in LA county and the state of California where they haven't experienced this. Anyone at other schools in CA experience this, or think this is fair or unfair, would love to hear opinions on this, thanks!
  3. We as students had virtual meeting with MSMU admin yesterday and they just talked down on us and were defensive. They said they didn't care about what other schools are doing, and said that they are cancelling classes until Fall "because we care for your safety", and had the nerve to say that the school is losing money as well. Also said they don't know how other schools are doing classes and clinicals at different dates because CA BRN doesn't allow that, I think they just don't want us to graduate on time because their NCLEX scores are so low, they don't want to risk it, and money as well, but they tell us it's for our safety, so ashamed of this school.
  4. That’s what my school said, that theory and clinical has to be taught concurrently per BRN, so either they’re lying or other schools who aren’t doing that are not heeding to this
  5. Yea I don’t understand why MSMU didn’t opt to make us do theory online and clinical at a later date
  6. That makes sense, I'm going to ask them why they didn't do that
  7. So they just cancelled MSMU classes and clinicals until fall 2020, graduation delayed and if we get back in fall we have to repeat the class we were in now. I wonder if any other nursing schools are doing this
  8. Thanks, I’ll probably purchase it, it seems so concise and seeing a lot of success stories, thanks for letting me know!!
  9. thanks you too! I was gonna do UWORLD, but was planning on doing all of the Kaplan questions, since we paid for Kaplan already, and might as well use it as much as I can. I graduate in December so was thinking of getting UWORLD around October. What do you think? So you're gonna get UWORLD now, and keep buying it when it expires or?
  10. I'm with you steph17, I haven't heard of any school asking anyone to repeat, I'm also a student at MSMU, graduating in December, and yea even before Covid19 the school is disorganized, and I don't feel like I'm getting a good education for all the money we're paying. Plus to have the WORST NCLEX scores by FAR in the whole state of CA can't be because the students are all "lazy" or don't study (what some faculty has told me) as if EVERY other school in the state has geniuses. They don't prepare their students well because these classes are not well organized. I feel like to pass the NCLEX you have to literally work twice as hard to self study as you would at another school, even though you should be doing that anyways, the school should prepare you at least a little, I don't think MSMU does at all.
  11. I had the same question; I’ve been an epidemiologist for 13 years and have an MPH, and I will be completing my nursing program soon with a RN BSN, and I’ll be able to hopefully provide my MPH credentials to get a PHN, I was wondering if it were worth it to add an MSN to all those credentials. Will it necessarily make me more marketable? I want to be in administration eventually.
  12. I have an MPH in epidemiology, and going to have an RN BSN next year, should I also get an MSN, is it worth it career wise? Would appreciate the feedback
  13. I'm taking the kaplan in lachance's class, its only 1.5% but I want to do well, I'm doing the practice tests on the kaplan website, anyone know if the exam he gives is sort of based on those questions on the practice exams?
  14. Anyone who took Lachance know if the second repeat of the nursing dosage calculation test for med surg 2 is the same test? I missed one and gotta repeat it
  15. @Aman my GPA was 3.4 and 3.9 in sciences when I got in. I think some people had lower than that. It seems that they give preference to students who take pre requisites with them as well. And I work in public health but I don't think that mattered.
