Motlow Applicants 2014

U.S.A. Tennessee

Published

Hey everyone! Just wanted to create a place for potential Motlow Nursing students for fall 2014 to converse, ask questions, and get to know each other. Anyone out there? If so, which campus do you hope to attend? I live near Lavergne, so Smyrna campus will be my home base.

For those of you who have questions about the process over the next 6 months, I went through all of the application/acceptance/orientation/etc steps last year, but had to withdraw 3 weeks before classes started due to a financial aid fiasco...so I know what's to come and would be glad to clarify anything for you.

Good luck to everyone and hope to be meeting you all this summer!

Hopefully Moore County! I didn't even know that Smyrna had a program.

I spoke with an advisor this week and she said by the end of the week or first of next week is when we will get the email....and she sounded pretty sure of herself

I emailed the Secretary of the Nursing Dept and just got this response:

The emails will be sent in the next one to two weeks. We will put a banner on our webpage on the day they are sent. Just be checking your email.

Guess now we know for sure.

Dang I was hoping they would send them like today! I check my email now every couple of hours. The wait is terrible, but it has gone faster than I thought! It feels like yesterday I was taking the HESI.

What are the clinical sites for nursing courses at Motlow? do they have a repeation policy for admissions? do they accept Academic Fresh Start?

There are lots of clinical sites. From Fayetteveille to Smyrna. Mcminnville, Manchester, Shelbyville, Tullahoma, Murfreesboro.

You get a second chance if you fail a course. I know nothing about academic fresh start.

FYI: Registration is now open for summer classes!

Time to knock out that pesky Eng Comp II and be DONE with pre-reqs. :D

Frenchie...I just registered for English 2 too! I'm takingn the web class. Are you taking web or at Smyrna?

I'm taking the web class too. I prefer actual campus classes, but I'm still working full time so that's not an option right now. Glad to have a fellow nursing student along for the ride! Hope it's a decent class.

I hope so too! What's your name? I want to be able to know which one you are when we have discussions to post!

Has anyone taken micro online? It's available over the summer. From what I've heard it's easier online than on campus but I just wonder how you would do lab for an online class.
