Motlow Applicants 2014

Hey everyone! Just wanted to create a place for potential Motlow Nursing students for fall 2014 to converse, ask questions, and get to know each other. Anyone out there? If so, which campus do you hope to attend? I live near Lavergne, so Smyrna campus will be my home base.

For those of you who have questions about the process over the next 6 months, I went through all of the application/acceptance/orientation/etc steps last year, but had to withdraw 3 weeks before classes started due to a financial aid fiasco...so I know what's to come and would be glad to clarify anything for you.

Does anyone know what date they will send emails out?

I was told that they HOPED to have emails out by the en of the first week of April. I was told that in early Jan. not sure if that will happen. I found out on the 20th last year. The people the year prior found out much sooner than that. I know a lot of people found out on the 19th last year.

I've been attending the Smyrna campus as well since fall of 2013. So I guess you've already taken all your enrichment classes? Did you take nursing dosage already?

I applied for Smyrna as well. :up: I haven't taken any courses there yet...I finished out (what I thought to be) the last of my pre-reqs at Nashville State in 2012, and now I'm taking English Comp 2 this summer since it's required at Motlow.

Did you take nursing dosage already?

I wanted to take it this summer, but the only available class is at main campus on MW mornings. Have you taken it already?

No I haven't had dosage yet. I'm taking A/P2 and english 2 this summer.

If I get accepted into nursing I'll still have to take speech, micro, and music/art

Oh wow. I can't imagine taking Micro (or that many pre-reqs) along with the Nursing courses...but that's just me. Good luck!

I've come across some fantastic A&P study guides and YouTube videos on here, if you need them.

I have taken everything except history 2 and literature class. I'm going for BSN so I have taken a lot more classes than what is required to get in the program. I am taking dosage this semester. It's pretty easy and glad I've gotten it out of the way :)

I heard from one of my friends today that her advisor said the emails are not expected to go out now until the end of May!!!! Does anyone know about this????

That's strange. I talked to my advisor today and he said the emails will go out this week or next.
