One of my best friends when I was growing up was named Amparo - I've never met or heard of anyone else with the name.
I knew a kid growing up named Howdy Do-good Tomahawk Truckstop. Swear to God. :uhoh21: Not sure about the first part, but he was born or maybe conceived at the Tomahawk Truckstop . . .
Changed it to Jordan the day he turned 18
Twothousandfive Jacquie (yes it's real...but he is adorable:))

Apparently, from what his onesie says, Twothousand five Jacquie is a twin. I wonder what his sibling's name is!
I just took care of a baby girl "Sunshine" this week. A couple of years ago, we had a "Natural Shooting Star"... the mom had a C/S, so the birth surely wasn't natural nor did the baby shoot out of anywhere! Another nurse told me about a mom who wanted to name her baby Arnold Schwarzenegger! One of our birth certificate clerks confirmed that story.

His twin was Nikkholaus...not much better but better than 2005
Once had a student named Noelle Noel.![]()
I've heard a social worker can be called when babies are given mean or vindictive names. Urban legand, or has anyone seen this happen?
When I was doing my postpartum clinicals in nursing school, social services was called for a baby whose mother and father wanted to name him "Death." Poor kid...
