I live in Arizona and it's one of the lowest paying states and a CNA makes about $8.50-12.00/hr here, so yes I think you're getting paid very low. I have a friend who works for Kindred hosptial which is mainly where they are weaning pt's off of vent...

ok, I couldn't hold back when I saw this comment... Are you kidding? He's taken us to war for no reason and over 1,500 of our soldiers have died because of it!! That is more than enough reason to be ashamed - HELLO!!! I too was blinded by Bush an...

Yes, you said it, so many people were blinded by Bush including myself! I've really started to educate myself on what's really going on in the world specifically the war in Iraq. I have come to find out that Bush has taken us to a war for no reason ...

I'm very sorry for your familys' loss. I honestly don't think that the doctor would say that it wasn't a match just to spare the mothers' feelings. Also, I don't think that telling the mother about her drug use will do anything except make things wo...

How about a Nursing Instructor at a college or even in a hospital setting? They say there is a shortage of nurses and that there are plenty of people that want to go into nursing, but not enough Nursing Instructors.
I admit it was a sarcastic remark, but give me a break...I think you're taking it a little far with murder, graft (I think you meant graffiti) and the Mafia. Why not legalize it, tax it and regulate it? Because whether it's legal or not "We'd sti...
I think in your situation that it would be a good idea for you to go to school for the LVN and then transition to RN when your hubby gets back. I have a friend who has been an LVN for about 1 year and is making $24/hr..I wouldn't consider that 'crap'...

sparkyRN Thank you for all the detail you provided. It was very helpful in understanding what it's like in the NICU. I like how you refer to them as 'your babies' :) I can tell you're a wonderful nurse! Thanks again!
I just finished the first semester of the ADN program and the hours of this program allowed me to still work full time and my employer was kind enough to allow me the flexibility, however, the hours next semester aren't going to work for me and I wil...

Not only are you entitled your PTO, but since you gave your 2-week notice and she decided to let you go on the spot, you are also entitled to the 2-weeks notice pay!! This is a law and I just recently quit my job with a 2-week notice and they let me...

I just thought I would mention something that I recently learned about giving your 2-week notice. If you give your employer your 2-week notice and they decide to let you go on the spot, by law, you are entitled to the 2-week notice pay PLUS any un-u...
This is the speciality I want to go into and I wanted to ask you what your typical daily routine is in the NICU? I love babies so much and they are so innocent and beautiful precious little angels! Something I keep thinking about is what my emotion...
I just recently found out that if you put in your 2-week notice and your employer tells you to just leave, then by law they have to pay you for your 2-week notice. Interesting, huh?
