I am willing to travel to any of the 5 boroughs in NY. I am available for any shift. Anywhere....Believe me I am trying to stay positive, however, I am getting soo weary. I work per diem as an aide and I have been unsuccessful to even get a full time job as an aide. I have no money to pay my rent and buy food. If you are a nurse recruiter or you know someone that is hiring or you know someone that know someone who is hiring please direct me so that I can apply....Thanks for even reading this mess.......
I'm an LPN. Graduated in June of 2009. Passed the state boards in September of 2009 and I'm STILL looking for work!!!! I can't even get into a nursing home!!!! They all want someone with at least 1yr of experience! This is crazy!!! I'm just about ready to give up!
I chose nursing because I love it. I never thought in a million years that it would be this hard to find work. I made a career change to become a nurse and now I'm beginning to regret it. My ultimate goal is RN, but I knew that I couldn't go so long without working. I thought I would work FT as a LPN while I returned to school PT for my Rn. I don't see it happening in the near future.
HERE IS SOME HUMOR TO GET US THROUGH THIS AWFUL time!!! Especially since the holidays are coming up Nurses we are not hiring
Hey guys...try Floral agency-Bronx..As you all know , I am a NEW grad too and I JUST got hired by them to a part time position in a nursing home...yup after 11 months so hang in there. I I hear anything else I will pass it on.
How's your experience with Floral Agency going??? I have an interview with them?? Do you like it? are you PT or FT?
I really need a job....lol
Hang in there I know too well what you're going through. It took me over a year to find the job I'm at now. I graduated May 2009, and finally passed boards in Dec. 2009 and couldn't get a job until Dec. 2010. It is soo frustrating, and trying to pay back loans with pennies is hard, but it all pays off once you get a job. I didn't know anybody either just got really lucky. Jamaica Hospital Medical Center does hire new nurses without any experience, that's where I've been for a year now. Not the best area but it's a job that pays decent money. GOOD LUCK.
