  1. so, after 2years exactly i got my RN license, i finally land a job in a nursing home, i will be working in short-term rehab unit... orientation starts tomorrow in the floor because they somehow misplaced my documents so i missed the classroom orientation part which was on wednesday and i got called on thursday to finalize... so the question is what are they expecting of me on my first day...am really nervous///any suggestions would be greatly appreciated..and also which shift is less stressful aside from the 11-7?? thank u!
  2. hey there Ibelieve4187, how did u apply? was it online or in-person? and if u dont mind me asking, did u get to interview?
  3. hello every one...I'm thinking of taking RN-BSN online courses with SUNY DELHI...the thing is I don't know how online courses work? is it entirely online? is there a fixed time for the classes? do u get to meet your professors and other students? do you go to clinicals?does financial aid cover the tuition?? do I have to take GEN-ED courses online too? I actually was gonna go to LEHMAN College in the Bronx.. but it would take me 2-2.5yrs to complete my BSN compared to Delhi's 1 year... and lastly, would it look bad on my resume if I completed an online degree?
  4. Does ACLS cert expire?? And how long is the class?
  5. Hello everyone.. My CPR certification expires in May. And I was thinking of taking ACLS in a month to make my resume more marketable... If I have my ACLS cert. do I need to take CPR again? And lastly, CPR and BCLS are the same thing right?

  7. does montefiore hire nurses with new grad ADN?
  8. thank you, and once again congrats=]
  9. alrighty then, next tuesday it is. fingers crossed!
  10. but someone like me would be interviewed by both of them? wow,30-45 mins is pretty long. i,ve had two interviews since i graduated and both were 15-20 mins.
  11. so there is a NM and a recruiter? and how long is the interview?
  12. i dont know if i should call my self a new grad any more. i graduated in 2010 with ADN and no luck finding jobs. i didnt know tht st. lukes hired RNs with ADN. i recently found that out and dropped off my resume @ the CHP human resources. the thing with me is i really suck at interviews, that's what holding me back going for the open interview. if you dont mind me asking- how was the interview process and what kind of questions were asked? because if i get scenario questions-i forgot all my nursing skills.
  13. congrats limerick1913. if you dont mind, can i ask you what was the process applying @ st. lukes-roosevelt. i've applied @ their facility but i haven't heard from them yet. do u think it's a better idea to go to their open interviews? your answer is greatly appreciated!
  14. hey GoingCoastalRNCCRN, so u are saying if though if you have an RN license, you could work as a nurse tech? how do i go about applying for a job like that? is there a course for nurse techs too?
