  1. Hi everyone, new grad NP here. Specialty: Colorectal Salary: 115k Location: Long Island, NY
  2. I graduated with my BSN Jan. 20, 2012.....took the NCLEX on Jan 27th. Got my job Jan. 31st. Totally blessed to get a job where I did my senior preceptorship.
  3. I agree with everyone else. Don't quit. Get the experience. I am a new grad on a tele unit and adore it. You get med/surg patients, cardiac pt requiring tele monitoring. Plus.....post cardiac cath...ablation....stent placements...rapid afib....conversions....... I love this unit. The patients have ever changing conditions and they come from all walks of life. There's NEVER a dull moment on my unit. My advice......stick with it....you may like it. You will learn a variety of skills! Limerick
  4. Are you in the 190 level? or 390 level? It wasn't clear in your post.
  5. I graduated in December 2011. The program is what you make of it. I personally don't regret going to LIU one bit. In reality....employers love LIU graduates. I am currently working and I love it. Don't let anything get you down. Just roll with the punches and finish up the program. You're almost done........... I heard about what happened this semester but you have look beyond the negativity and embrace the positive. You've made it this far in the program and you will graduate. Don't let the negativity rule you.
  6. I am a new grad in NYC and make $38/hr (base)
  7. Congratulations Grmmy!!!!!! Welcome to the profession!:w00t:
  8. Hey, Go to an open interview. Just look at their career website. They always have open interviews for experienced RNs. Good luck.
  9. When it says: "Delivery successful"
  10. In addition to maintaining a C+ average....no curving as well....and we need to pass ALL dosage calculation exams with a 100%. I graduated with a 3.75.
  11. "Failure is NOT an option!!" You got this!!!!! Good luck!
  12. NurseLoveJoy88, I couldn't agree with you more! I have had awesome experiences with veteran nurses. They're are full of wisdom and we have much to learn from them. I have learned techniques from veteran nurses that you would NEVER find in a textbook. This knowledge can only be obtained from years of hard work. And for that....I salute all veteran nurses! We, as newbies have much to learn from you guys! :bowingpur Thank you!!!!
  13. Thank you, D_lohvRN! :) I believe the address that I posted is the main HR. They do the hiring for all the Continuum Health Partner hospitals included Beth Israel. However, I think you should go to New York Eye and Ear Infirmary website for their job openings.
  14. Make sure your BON has made you eligible first. No ATT without eligibility.
