Hey everyone,
I thought I would start a thread for everyone who has applied at MC for this fall 2014. The deadline was this Tuesday April 1, 2014. I have brought in my application last Friday.
So for anyone else who has applied, has been accepted or has any other contributions please share with us!
Hey, sorry to jump on your thread. I am a Spring '14 grad, and have some of the books you guys may be looking for and for cheap. Calculate with Confidence is one I own amongst many many more.. I have a care plan book as well which will save you guys hours when you start doing care plans based off of your patients in clinical. If there are any particular books you may be looking for, let me know. Or if you have the book list, let me know whats still on there and i'll see what I have. I also live fairly close to the TKSS campus and can meet whomever there.
I also organized a uniform drive and a lot of the recently graduated students donated their uniforms. So, if you guys happen to be short on funds or looking to save a few bucks, the nursing lab on the third floor has the donated uniforms and there is a variety of sizes in scrub tops available.
Good luck you guys- it is work but totally doable.
As far as the math test, it is not Med Math, used to be ProCalc. You have to take it in the MLC at the campus. You will get several attempts to pass it, be sure to pay attention to rounding rules. Personally I never used the Calculate With Confidence book.
This is a link for a free PDF download of a Nursing Care Plan Book, no need to buy one you can download this and save it to your computer or tablet (or phone).

I can tell you that I applied having completed all priority courses accept A&P2 (which I now have completed) and I was put on "stand-by". At orientation we were told that 20 people were put on standby and that last year all standby people got in. So I think you should still apply without having A&P2. Also the standby list was put in order of TEAS scores so make sure your scores are good. I had 90% in reading and overall score of 84% and am 2nd on the list.
In regards to Clinicals they are 10 hours one day a week . I think it was 7am to 5pm. And then you can also expect to be on campus 2 other days during the week.
I hope this was helpful.
