Hey everyone,
I thought I would start a thread for everyone who has applied at MC for this fall 2014. The deadline was this Tuesday April 1, 2014. I have brought in my application last Friday.
So for anyone else who has applied, has been accepted or has any other contributions please share with us!
Hey, everyone. I've been watching this thread.
I wanted to ask if anyone had a 70 or near there on their TEAS but still got accepted into MC?
I applied for the Spring 2015 semester. I only got a 70% on the TEAS, unfortunately. Have all my prereqs done, already have a Bachelor's degree, have a good GPA, etc. But I heard that Natparra had a 71% on her TEAS and they denied her (because of her TEAS score, she said).
Natparra, did they deny you because they want you to retake the TEAS or do you just have to reapply and hope not as many people apply next semester so you will be higher on the list and get accepted? I wish I knew how this works. I really want to get in and am worried now since reading this.
Thanks so much!
Hey, ProspectRN, you said your TEAS scores weren't the best, can I ask what they were? What was the overall %? I am just curious since mine wasn't very good either (70%) and I am afraid I won't be accepted (for Spring 2015), but I have everything else done and a good GPA and I already have a Bachelor's degree as well.
I got in!!!I was worried because my GPA and TEAS weren't the greatest compared to what you guys were posting but I finished all my pre-reqs. I also had to take pathophysiology since my A&P was older than 5 years.
Anyways, see everyone Jun 20 for orientation!
What score did you get on your TEAS?
It seems that they admit all students who meet the minimum score requirements and who have completed priority courses by the time of application. People who are taking their last priority course in the semester they apply seem to be put on standby status. But all standbys seem to admitted by the time the semester starts.

But there was someone who got a 71% on their TEAS, had all the pre-reqs done, who had a 4.0 and was not accepted. Maybe her reading score on the TEAS wasn't as high as it needed to be? I don't know, but are you sure they accept EVERYONE who has above a 66% on the TEAS?
I only know what I read in this forum. It seemed to me that there was someone with a 66 teas and 2.5 GPA who got in. Maybe her reading score was 70 or above. My impression was that having the priority courses done was a big factor in acceptance.
BestSis, I am really glad to hear that, actually. Do you happen to know where this convo is so I can read it myself?
You have to get 70% or higher on your reading and 66% or higher on your adjusted total score! GPA of 2.5 or higher. No exceptions on TEAS and GPA! Then, they'll look at your priority classes. Around 120 students are accepted so they'll rank whoever has the highest TEAS, GPA and all their priority classes done first. Then they just start going down the list.
I got 77% on my reading and GPA of 2.8. I got all my priority classes done but they were more than 5 years old so I had to take pathophysiology. I got accepted into the program for this Fall. You can do it if you just get above the minimum!!! Good luck!

Annalise, you said your TEAS reading was 77%, but what about your overall adjusted total score?
Thanks!

The clinicals start a few weeks into the first semester, I think we were told week 5. They change every semester.
