Montgomery College Fall 2014

Published

Hey everyone,

I thought I would start a thread for everyone who has applied at MC for this fall 2014. The deadline was this Tuesday April 1, 2014. I have brought in my application last Friday.

So for anyone else who has applied, has been accepted or has any other contributions please share with us!

Hello Inigo Montoya,

I called and the health admissions coordinator said that they mailed letters on Monday... which contradicts when someone said they were mailed Friday.. I'm still keeping positive... Congrats to everyone who has gotten accepted!! I will call tomorrow to see whats up if i don't get anything by mail.

All I can think of is that they mailed the letters in 2 batches. I still haven't gotten anything yet but someone said they lived in Germantown and got a letter yesterday.

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!

I live on the west coast, so I think I can see why I haven't gotten anything yet...Is MC everyone's first choice, or do you have other schools you are waiting for??

Best wishes everyone!!

Who at MC would I call if I wanted to check if I'm wait listed? Does anyone have the number?

I didn't get anything in the mail today. Trying to stay positive, but it's becoming really hard to:arghh:

MC is the only school I applied to. This is pure torture :banghead:

I going to just blow up their phones if I still don't get anything by tomorrow!!!

I did not receive my letter today but I did call. I was waitlisted because my AP 1&2 was over 7 years old. I am currently taking BI 218 which "refreshes" those two but I guess since I am taking that class this semester, it does not count. Oh well.. I will try again in August when I will have all my prerequisites finished. Congrats to all those who made it!

You can call 240-567-1501 ( I forgot her name) but it is the coordinator for the health sciences program..

I got in!!!

I was worried because my GPA and TEAS weren't the greatest compared to what you guys were posting but I finished all my pre-reqs. I also had to take pathophysiology since my A&P was older than 5 years.

Anyways, see everyone Jun 20 for orientation!

I called, and I didn't get in because of my TEAS scores, but it's okay, I'm not giving up. Will be reapplying in August.

Hi everyone! I have a question for those who were wait-listed. Is there a difference between "waitlist" and "stand-by". My letter said I was on "standby" and that I still had to go to orientation and was advised to start making my appointments for my physical, CPR, etc. Do you think there is a difference or is it the same thing?

Thanks!

I am also on stand-by, and just called my doctor to make an appt for my physical. The earliest he could get me in was late Oct. I've dealt with this issue before (trying to get an appt for a physical earlier than the usual 6 month wait), and my doctor refuses. Does anyone know where to get the titers and immunizations other than from your primary care physician? Am I the only one with this problem? Kind of frustrating because the letter from MC says "no calls, please," but I have questions that need to be answered before the orientation!
