  1. Hey I see this thread was for students who started in fall 2014. I started in spring 2015. I was wondering if any of one of you who made it to the second semester which is 125,126 and 129 still have a course guide? I would really like to start studying over the summer. Thanks!
  2. Does anyone know when the drug test urinalysis is due by? I think it is the 15th of January but just wanted to confirm that. Thanks!
  3. I was told UMD does not do hearing or vision tests
  4. I think you get the paper at your registration day. I would imagine you don't make the appointment until you have the chain of custody form. Most labs have walk in appointments anyway!
  5. The PPD is a TB test. It is a skin test. You have to do 2 skin tests (PPD's) to meet their requirements. I went to my doctor for the hearing test but he just did a "whisper test" and apparently that is acceptable. I would definitely agree that you should double check your forms....
  6. I also had the hep b shot and ppd done at my job
  7. I got all my stuff done at my doctors office except the titers because it would have cost me 600! Funny thing is that I had the titers drawn in 2007 but they said at orientation it had to be within 5 years which my doctor said did not make sense. He said if your immune your always immune it's not going to change. I emailed Ms. Matthews but went ahead and had them drawn at the health center and then received an email saying there was no need to do them again...uugh..... What a pain the butt! I already had my cpr for healthcare worker completed and I have also done the background and drug screening
  8. Hope, i work at at holy cross hospital and they required 2 ppd shots... Apparently one can be negative and yet you still have it.
  9. It is the cultural arts center located at 7995 Georgia avenue, theatre 2. Starts at 11 but says please arrive 15 minutes early to check in... Hope this helps! Stacey
  10. I am not that good at math either but I don't think his is really a big deal. I mean I worry about it but I think as a nurse you have to be aw to do these conversions and I am sure that the stuff we learn in class will be much harder. I think the dos calc will be easy if you just memorize the formulas and conversions like how to convert microliters to milliners and how many ml are in a teaspoon. There is plenty of info and study material along with numerous practice tests you can take. I really would not worry too much about it.... Just stay focused and study hard
  11. 240-567-1501.... I think this is the admissions office and ask for Jennifer nunez. If they don't answer that number call the response center at240-567-5000 get an operator and ask to be transferred to takoma park admissions .
  12. I hand delivered it because my fax machine does not give a confirmation page. Just fax it from a machine that prints out a confirmation and attach it to the paper .
  13. I hand delivered mine.
  14. Titers not roters
  15. I work for Holy cross hospital and prior to that I worked at inova alexandria so I have had to have the physical roters and cpr done. I also had a background and drug screen done but I will probably have to have that done again unfortunately....
