Hello, anyone attending Monroe college for the accelerated nursing program for Winter 2021? I received my admission letter and have been given my password to register. Heard I have to pay part of the fee before registering for classes. I am hoping it will be both online and in person. I want to meet other people in the same program.

Did you had to take the TEAS and if yes what was your score for it

Yes, I did. My score was 58.7

My score was 62.4 n 66 in each subject

now they telling me the raise it to 70% n reading n math need to be higher.

and now some seats apparently open and suddenly they claim the TEAS policies are now higher. And during my application process it was acceptable. Still waiting on them to tell me if I can start Spring. So unorganized.

OK.

Thank you.

For real? I didn’t know that. My maths and English was the lowest score in my TEAS. I focused more on the science part, so I got 80 in science. Not sure if Monroe changed their admission score because the last time I checked all you need was a proficient score for TEAS and a good GPA to get in. When did you apply?

Exactly, proficient was required.

Earlier this week I was told that something open up n if I was interested. I said yes. They told me how the nursing concerned about the English portion which I scored 58%.
But it’s still likely I get in. Yesterday the admission rep told me the new criteria is 70% overall n 60% in English n math is required.

but my application was already in prior to this sudden change in policies. I applied in October n was waiting to find out if any seats was available.
during my admission review process I don’t know why they didn’t tell me this at that time.

I am surprised too. I applied maybe in September and received my admission letter in December or November (can’t remember). Your score is good because it’s above the proficient mark. Not sure what your GPA is though maybe they also put that in consideration (I mean GPA from the prerequisites courses) most of my prerequisites score was A+ except sociology B+. I also know Monroe calculates each grade as 10 points. I guess that’s why I got in, not sure.

A/P 1&2 A

micro B+
eng 1&2 A-

psych A

Statistics B+
Chemistry C+
develop psych lifespan A

In beginning the admission rep was very helpful. Now it’s like I’m begging for response.

Your grade is perfect. I don’t see why they are delaying you though. It’s weird.
