Monroe College Accelerated 2nd Degree Nursing Program

Hey!

 

Has anyone been accepted to this Monroe college program? I know they used to have it and recently bought it back. Any thought?

Yesterday I was told I would get a reply by 7pm that didn’t happen.

Maybe they will put you in for next session. The new class starts January 8th. Do they want you to take the TEAS again?

On Monday the admissions emailed me to ask if I was still interested, they had seat open. 
I replied yes, then she said they concerned about the English it was high 50’s. And it wouldn’t be enough time for to retake now. But I took it at twice at NCC n raised grade. I submitted the revised but still didn’t hear anything

I got a 60.0 % on the TEAS and it said proficient. The national mean said 65.6% and the All PN mean said 58.4%. The counselor I spoke to said it was fine. But this awaiting for word on acceptance and interview looking at the Spring 2021

I got a 70% proficient on TEAS. The counselor told me last week that seat available for Spring 2021 but “they” nursing looking at my English score was low at 58%. And it’s possible I will get in but that was last week n school start tomorrow. I emailed the counselor several times which went unanswered so I guess I’m moving along.

And never heard back from her. This email was Wednesday.

Very crazy. Why email me on Tuesday to say seat open, asked me if I’m still interested, I said yes, then questioned my English but said still possible? 
tgen I emailed Wednesday Thursday n Friday n no reply from her? 
my TEAS shouldn’t have been an issue because my application n TEAS was submitted in October. If this was policy she should have mentioned it in October! If they just changed it then that changed shouldn’t have affected me. Plus my score is “proficient”. 
 

I feel like taking this higher. Why would she play with my mind like this? N never responded? Smh

as of 1/10/21, the website still says TEAS score needs proficient or higher. No details about math n English being min 60%

Personally I would take it to the next step OK. Just because this is a new policy and to be honest your score is very high. Don't give up
