Stars here's hoping you slept better

Tweety that is an awful lot for 2 keys

NJ22 thanks for sharing the photos

Hi Dianah

Ado I'm glad the music went well

Was pretty tired yesterday after the poor sleep, but did manage to get the cooking for the week done before church.  And managed to get to church as well.  Dad managed to get there as well.  Pretty good crowd and pretty good service.  We both stayed for coffee hour afterwards

After that the day was slower.  Tried that chocolate pudding cake recipe but it was a disappointment.  Was too tired to try and play pickleball but was able to confirm there is a game at a nearby park Sunday afternoons, will have to look at that in the future.  Exercised and did some planning for my trip this Friday

Today feeling better, hopefully work will prove fairly calm.  Will exercise and do a little packing for the trip.  Like to do it just a little at a time starting a few days before I leave

Will be in the upper 40s the next few days, with rain expected for the next 3 days

Slept 3 AM to 11 AM. Had coffee but still feeling very sleepy. But noontime is too early to take a nap, even though I feel like it. My eyes keep closing, but so far I've managed to pull out of drowsing when I feel myself begin to slip away. However, I have managed to pass 45 minutes of time in a semi-awake condition. More coffee please!

Have to make myself get up and get dressed, then go downstairs and do the Nannie thing. She has two more days of the antibiotics left.

I reckon today is the official Holiday for many workers, which means the bank is prolly closed. I got a $400 check from BiL yesterday, but I can wait to deposit it, as I don't need or want to go out on errands, anyway.

Okay, have to get started and push myself into this day. Going to be warm (80's?) and there are high clouds. Not sure if today is the day for the eclipse, but I think it is. I remember the last eclipse when I still lived in Asheville, it was in the afternoon, because I had to lay on the hill in the front yard to watch it, and it was necessary to position myself with my head DOWNHILL, which was awkward. Actually I don't much care if we get to see it today or not.

Get UP Stars!!!

I am putting this here, because I can't get on the Search or the Support Desk  or anything remotely helpful. In order to find The Game of Groans, I had to go back something like 29 or 30 pages of my Manage Followed Content before I could find an entry for Grumpy, and thereby gain access to Game of Groans. I found it yesterday, and I did leave a post with funny quotes and odd news stories. I got back there this morning ( again, the l-o-n-g way around) and I did get on the thread, but couldn't find the post I made yesterday. When I go to Support Desk or Search, all I get on the page is the title of it, and nowhere to enter a question or put in a subject.

Now I can't scroll down to see if my last sentence was included. Basically I was asking if it was me, my laptop, or my membership, or something else?

Up to softball size hail? Seems like a good day to stay indoors, and be glad you aren't part of an outdoors herd, pasturing unprotected! YIKES!

Decent weather here, partly cloudy, big, puffy clouds against a lovely blue sky. I actually wore shorts for my jog this morning. We went to lunch with MiL. She wanted to treat dh, youngest son and me for our birthdays. It was nice that there was no mean talk about other family. We were going to go to Thai, but they weren't open, so we went across the street to Olive Garden. I like their soup. We dropped 3 big boxes at the thrift store.

I think the eclipse is April 8. It may be partially visible from here.

That's some big hail! I hope you can get your autos under cover.

Yeah, I just saw on the news that the eclipse is next Monday; they said we'd be able to view it, but it is going to show 80%-90% to us, instead of 100%. (location, location, location).

SiL is coming over Wednesday, mid-day, to give Nannie a shower and shampoo, and then on Saturday she plans on being here "most of the day". We may get up to the previously named 'Main' Bedroom, and strip it down by storing some things, throwing out other things, and clearing it out. Those sheets  may fall apart in the wash, because no one has slept in that bed since 2009!!

Time to wake Nannie up from her afternoon nap and prepare something for her supper. Maybe reheat some pieces of the good pizza we had the other night.

So far those storms have passed us by. We had some rain but the winds were mild and there was no hail and no sign of tornados. The sun is shining. No complaints from me.

I did a search and was able to locate it.  Link here: https://allnurses.com/game-groans-t742731/

I have no idea why you are unable to reach Search or Support Desk.  Your subscription can't have changed.  Perhaps there was an allnurses.com Gremlin gadding about?  Try clearing your cache.  If you are using a pad, try rebooting the pad.  This from a NON-computer person!  Or, report the issue (if you can reach the Help Desk.  Or, report your post above, which will take you to the Help Desk)

I hardly ever hear "cache" used anymore.   Only here, and I had to Google what it meant because I forgot when asked to do it.  LOL

Also I'm sure "prolly" is a regional thing and I've never heard anyone use it where I've lived.  I say it southern style lazy "prob-lee" or "prob-a-lee"

I survived the overtime shift but having six patients is exhausting.

Hello to all!

Tweety, I like "prolly," it's easier to type out than "probably."  But I use probably when speaking.  Rest up and polish your halo.  Can't imagine six patients.

Ado, so glad there are no storms for ya!

A couple days ago, one (or more) of our (six) cats hid their two fluffy stuffed "toys."  They don't bat them around, but instead grab one and carry it out of the kitchen area, loudly YOW-ing.  Five of the six have Siamese cat blood in them, and boy can they yowl like a Siamese cat!  Well, as I said, the two toys went missing.  Dh looked all over, couldn't find them.  While out shopping on Thursday I bought five more stuffed toys (no catnip inside, just stuffed and soft; one like a hedgehog, etc).

The first night after putting them out, nothing happened.  However, that situation didn't last long.  Each night we have either woken to yowling, or have woken to find all five stuffed toys in the hall, carried there from the kitchen.  Guess they like them??!!

I just finished purchasing tickets for the festival in August, in Vista.  I have spoken of that festival here, we go each year.  Our band was scheduled to play last year, on Sunday -- the gospel set in the morning -- but Sunday's festival was cancelled d/t severe rain.  Yah, no one wants to buy a ticket and sit in the rain to listen and, especially, no sound person wants to fire up his equipment in the rain, AND no musician wants to subject his instrument to the rain!  So, we all left early, in the rain.  And didn't perform.  BUT, we are on the schedule for this year, again!  Hopefully we will be able to play for the Sunday program!

Dh is tuned into the YouTube channel for the Big Bear Eagle Cam.  The three eggs laid are long past viability, yet the eagle pair continue to rotate sitting duties, turning the eggs, etc.  They got a foot of snow on Sat and Sunday, so are sitting on the nest, surrounded by a donut of snow!  Apparently (from those who know), they will continue to sit on the eggs for a few weeks, then gradually lengthen their times off the nest.  The eggs will be absorbed by the nest or eaten by birds or rodents.  Sad, but that's the story this year for that nest.  A nest of bald eagles in Redding, and a nest on the island of Catalina have both had successful hatchings this year.  It's cool to watch the parents feed those little ever-hungry mouths!

Have a good evening!
