Hi everyone
I'm a mother of a 18 months old. my husband works for long hours & almost never around to help. He can just babysit my daughter when I go to school. Since I'm new to the country I don't have any families or friends to babysit my daughter and I can't afford paying for daycare. So the only time I can study is night time when she is sleeping (she's not a good sleeper so I can't really count on her day naps)
any advice for time scheduling or what courses should I take for my first semester?

My advice would be to look into online courses. That's what I did when my kids were younger. It gave me the flexibility to study/learn when I could, rather than attend class every week.
Thank you great suggestion í ½í±í ¼í¿»
Aren't online courses harder than on campus ones?
Can I take English composition online?

Hello Farrah! I moved to the US years ago and have 2 kids and only have my husband to help with baby sitting. First, I took courses I could take online. Every course I could take online I did. I registered to one course each semester, these courses were not offered online. Taking one at a time makes it easier for you to mother and study. Yes it will take you longer to finish pre-reqs, but it will be an easier transition from mommy to mommy/student because you will attend lecture and lab twice a week! :)
Btw are you middle eastern? :) PM I have a feeling you are!
thank you. it's great to see somebody in a situation like myself. Were you fluent in English? The only thing scares me is that somebody told me if you are not 100% fluent in English don't go for online courses. I'm not sure if that's true or not. My English is not bad but it's my third language so I'm nervous.

Yes I'm from Iran. How do you know that? :)
My English is pretty good. Your writing is great. I don't think you should worry. Start your pre-reqs :)
Thank you for the positive energy you're giving me
good luck :)

It depends entirely on you. I'm a pretty good student, with good study habits and really focused so they are usually easy A's for me. The first class I took in person was my first B, if that tells you anything :)
Yes, you can take English Comp online in some schools. It really depends on the availability of the classes and how your school works.
If online learning isn't for you (it isn't for many, many people), then take it slow, one or two classes at a time. There's no shame in that!

Fathers don't "babysit". They parent, just like you do.
Your features portray middle eastern! :) (I'm not Iranian) but it takes one middle eastern to know the other!
You're right
