Hi,
I am new to allnurses and was wondering if there was anyone going to MJC. I have applied to their nursing program 3 times and will find out next month whether I was accepted . If you are in the ADN program at MJC, how many times did you apply before you got in??
mommato3, I really am sorry:o. I have been praying that you would get in. I can only imagine how frustrated you must be. I was very dissapointed that I did not get in but I was hoping to hear good news from you. I'm trying to not let it get me down but I'm not doing a good job:sniff:. I wish there was somthing we could do to change the selection procces because it is no good!!! better luck to us both next time.
Thanks mebnurse2, I really appreciate your prayers. I'm sorry that you didn't get in either:sniff:. I was really hoping that one of us would. I have to take math 90 in order to apply again in May so I guess between working fulltime and taking the math course at night, I will stay busy and keep my mind off of it. Yes indeed, we will have better luck next time:D
Hello Everyone,
I am quite nervous about applying for the ADN program at MJC this May 2010. This will be my 3rd time applying and I know that they are only taking applications once a year now. I talked to the receptionist in the Allied Health Dept and she told me that the way they're going to do it is that they are going to choose the first 65 or so for the Fall 2010 semester and then create a waitlist there after. Those on the waitlist are going to be moved into any positions that fall out within the first few weeks of the Fall Semester. The remaining people on the waitlist will be guaranteed a spot in the Spring of 2011. Does that make sense? I'm just wondering what my chances are. She said that last semester over 600 people applied, and I'm wondering how many times they each have applied. I hate waiting...errr...and I didn't get into Delta for the 3rd time too. I'm starting to think about applying to Merced and Sacramento. Ya feel me?! LOL! :/

went to the orientation meeting yesterday I am hearing that about 50% of the students don't make it through to graduation. The orientation was fun and thankfully you don't always have to lug your books to class. I think I have about 38 lbs of books. Something to look forward to Mamoto3...oh yeah please save around 600 to 800 dollars for books, scrubs, etc. the lab fee is 150 dollars over you tuition for the semester. I sure wish you were joining us in Fall.
