Hi,

I am new to allnurses and was wondering if there was anyone going to MJC. I have applied to their nursing program 3 times and will find out next month whether I was accepted :uhoh3:. If you are in the ADN program at MJC, how many times did you apply before you got in??

Best of luck to you. I hope you get your acceptance letter this time. I have applied once to MJC, still waiting to find out.Let us know if you get in.

Rejected 4 times here, I got tired of waiting & transferred to CSU Stanislaus & got in on my first application.

MJC's lottery is frustrating at best...I have many friends who are still waiting to be accepted. One girl I went to school with was just accepted this semester & I believe this was her 6TH!!!! time applying! Congrats to those who got in & keep trying to those who didn't! I also highly recommend applying to as many other schools as you can!

christy1229,

First off congrats on getting in at stan state:yeah::yeah::yeah:. I can't believe your friend waited 6 times!! U'm not getting any younger and I can't wait that long:crying2::crying2: In order for me to apply at stan state, I still need a few more classes like english 103, math 90, statistics, and organic chemistry. I work fulltime now so it will be hard to get those classes done fast but I think I might try. Good luck at stan state:D:D

Hey mommato3, was reading your post and like u (I'm 35) felt like I wasn't getting any younger. It looks like you're applying 2 the same school over and over like I did. I finally got n on the 3rd try at wcccd, starting aug.2009, plus I was n their nursing program n 2002 but failed the 1st nursing course by 2 pts. So stay strong and keep trying! Everybody kept telling me 2 apply 2 diff. Programs, but my school had started a point system and I stuck with them. So I know how frustrating it is and just wanted 2 offer some words of encouragement. I also have 2 kids, a 6 and 10 year old.

Thank you & I understand... I am 38 years old & left a good job to pursue nursing. It's been a tough road and I was beginning to feel that I'd need a nurse before I ever had the chance of becomming one!! If you can, knock out a transfer class here and there while you continue to apply. That's what I did after my first rejection. I figured, even if I got accepted at MJC, I knew that someday I would want to get my bachelors so I might as well get my transfer classes out of the way. Thankfully I did, because it appears that it is getting harder and harder to get into MJC. I wish you much luck on your next application! Please let us know when you get in! :)
