I am applying for the nursing program at MJC in May. Where are my fellow hopefuls at? I'm applying with 65 points not including my TEAS test, I haven't taken it yet. I'll take the test in March. I purchased the ATI study manual and have so far found quite a few answers in the KEY wrong.
Correct me me if I'm wrong but the cutoff for points last year was 70-71. How are you doing so far?
I took micro at CSU stan and got a C. So taking at a lower level will get me more points for a B or A. I have a bachelors degreee so I get more points for that. I just hope that I don't have to wait forever. I was thinking of applying for delta for fall but I would have to see if they'll accept my upper level physio. Last time I called they asked me if MJC accepted them. So I might have to fight but my points are in the 65 area. Not sure if that's even worth it.
There is also spring registration for Fresno coming up in a couple of months if you aren't against the drive. Its on a lottery system and I think they take the most students out of any of the programs around here.
Fall registration for nursing program is already closed but the application opens up again in september for a spot for spring. And I honestly don't see why they wouldn't accept your physio class because it's physio period upper or lower shouldnt matter as long as its physio. And yes definitely take micro again that will definitely help with your points and since you took it at stan you can take it at MJC and if you do take it with Lucas she is awesome.
I am in micro now with Lucas! It's easy but only because I have taken it before and worked as a micro tech too. But the points at Delt favor those with jobs in the field.

I would have to apply and fight for my upper level classes to be accepted. I'm not sure about that drive though. I will check it out today
Honestly I give people major props driving hours away just to accomplish their dream but for me Fresno is too far away for me to drive.. I'm currently driving my car till it won't drive anymore and I don't trust it to get me there daily for 2 years straight and I also think driving would take time away from studying and sleep even though I can function on as little as 5 hours of sleep. Driving that far would either sacrifice my grades or my sleep lol neither to me personally is worth the sacrifice. But like I said extra props to the people that do because I feel like they fight just a little harder for the dream.
