I am applying for the nursing program at MJC in May. Where are my fellow hopefuls at? I'm applying with 65 points not including my TEAS test, I haven't taken it yet. I'll take the test in March. I purchased the ATI study manual and have so far found quite a few answers in the KEY wrong.
Correct me me if I'm wrong but the cutoff for points last year was 70-71. How are you doing so far?
I feel like I'm talking to myself here but here it goes anyway! I took my TEAS and didn't do as well as I had hoped. I ran out of time during the English and language usage. I'm retaking next month.
Reading 83%
Math 84.4%
Science 83%
English/language 50%
Total Overall 77.3
So currently I have 73 points on my nursing application. That's probably close enough to get in but I'm not taking any chances! I know I can do better. Did any of you take the TEAS a second time? How did it compare to the first?

I will be applying at MJC's satellite program at Columbia College this May. I just took the TEAS and got a 78% on it. I will be retaking it next week and post how it goes the 2nd time around!
Congrats! My second attempt was Saturday, and I raised my score to 86%. If you don't already have it, download pocket prep. It's the ATI TEAS app, and it's worth every penny!

I am applying for MJC campus as well in May. I have 61 points without my TEAS. I got 90% on the TEAS V last year and I'm hopeful to get similar results on the new TEAS VI. If I get a 90% again I will have 76 points total to apply with. I'm nervous though because two years ago I heard the cutoff was around 68, last year around 71... Hoping that doesn't mean the cutoff will be much higher this year. Additionally, for anyone who needs to take the TEAS still, register immediately because the spots fill up quick and you'll have to pay an additional fee to get your results transferred to another school. Good luck on your applications everyone!

I will be applying to the Columbia campus this May with 74 points. I got an 83.3 on the TEAS but I've only taken it once...I met with a counselor and she told me the low for MJC campus for Fall 2016 was 72 points, and for Columbia (I believe) it was 66 or 68....I've noticed a few people saying they plan to apply to the Columbia campus because the lowest they have accepted in the past has been a few points behind MJC, however there are only 10 spots for the Columbia campus vs (I believe) 40 for the MJC campus each semester? Good luck to everyone!

I am applying to the MJC program with 80 points. I just Took the TEAS today and got 88, however i already bought a second test date so i will be taking it again. I have a little doubt but for the most part i can logically infer that i will probably be accepted. I shall see some of you next year.
Good Luck To All!

Congrats, Max! I think we are tied. If I did my math correctly, I'll be applying with 80 points also. Currently, I'm submitting my supporting documentation for Delta, but MJC is my first choice.
I retook my TEAS test and scored an 89%. I'll be applying to Columbia with a 74. I hope that is enough to get in. Considering retaking my TEAS to try and get a higher score!
I read somewhere the cutoff for Columbia last year was 69. If so, you're golden! Congrats, 89 is amazing!

Hi! I'll be applying with a 65 for now. I'm scheduled to retake my teas on the 13th. Hoping to get within mid 80 range so that I can at least make the cut off.
Does anyone have ideas on how to improve my score? I got a 72 last year, I just finished anatomy and my micro/physiology courses were about two years ago. I have the teas app and the store book (the first book with all the errors) and I just bought another study guide. I'm just freaking out a little bit.

Hi everyone! I will be applying with a 78 and really hope that I get in. I've been checking out the old threads and hoping that's enough to get in. :)
