I am applying for the nursing program at MJC in May. Where are my fellow hopefuls at? I'm applying with 65 points not including my TEAS test, I haven't taken it yet. I'll take the test in March. I purchased the ATI study manual and have so far found quite a few answers in the KEY wrong.
Correct me me if I'm wrong but the cutoff for points last year was 70-71. How are you doing so far?
Hey everyone, I'm applying for the LVN to ADN Advance Placement pathway with 76 points. I scored 80 on the TEAS that I took in Jan. I really hope we all get in. I recently took the Nurse Transition course last semester and we talked about last years applicants. 72 was the cut off from last year. All I know is that most of the LVNs that applied last year got in. I'm not sure how many LVNs are applying this application period but I hope I stand above and beyond. haha Good luck to you all!
So I changed my mind and finally decided to apply to the satellite program at Columbia. Just submitted the application with a total of 75 points. After reading posts from last years applicants, it appears we wont find out if we get completely accepted until mid July!! So until that time, I will likely be a nervous wreck!!! Good luck everyone! :)
Columbia sounds like your best option. I called the office last week and she said score cut off are probably going to higher than last year. She said 76 would/could be borderline if the trend continues. and
So I was planning to apply to Mjc, but I didn't do well on my teas. I was thinking of applying to Columbia... but I see 2 people already plan on doing that . I only have 71 points and the chances of getting into Mjc are slim to none. Not sure what to do í ½í¸©
Hello everyone. I applied to the Columbia program. I have yet to receive anything. Last year I applied to MJC and had received an e-mail for supporting documentation on the 1st. Perhaps they were unable to get to the applications yesterday and I believe they are only open Monday through Thursday. I hope I get something on Monday!
Side note, does anyone know what the cutoff was last year for Columbia applicants? I applied this year with 72 points.
Hey guys, just received an email from my counselor. So supposedly an email will be sent to those on the 8th that have been chosen to turn in supporting documents. Also, I heard that a friend of mine who also applied for the ADN program spoke to a counselor about the cut off for this year and this is what she told me,
Columbia College is reported to have a number of applicants this year and the cut off is in the mid 60s and for MJC is suppose to be around the mid 80s..
I don't want to discourage anyone or anything but this is crazy. Keep in mind that news, forums, or gossip among peers that report about the ADN program that are not or in anyway affiliated with the MJC nursing program shouldn't be taken so seriously. I will keep everyone updated about any news or emails I receive next. Best of luck to everyone!
