Hey all,
While looking at information for the Modesto Junior College RN program I came across an awesome thread on here for the 2018 application period. It was great to read through and see how much they motivated each other. It gives us an opportunity to stress together and bond while waiting to see if we get in. I am hoping to make a successful thread for those of us ready to apply in May.
Best of luck to all

Hi! 79 points is great!!! So the cutoff at Colombia was 71? Good luck getting in! ????

I did not end up applying. I talked with one of the allied health advisers a day or two after this post and then decided to keep my eggs on one basket. I'm fairly confident I'll be accepted, but definitely still nervous. Just with the timing difference I didn't want to hold up a spot unnecessarily at another school.
Hi,
I am applying with a total of 75 points. Im working full time (nights) so when I have time I try to study for the Teas. If I retake it I hope I can get bumped up to a 78 etc.
I am very nervous because I am very close to the cutoff points last year (74) and who knows if it may go higher.

Hi!!! Good luck on your retake!! I can understand your nerves, but we’re here rooting for you! We’re all on this journey together whether we get in on the first try or not.

Does anybody know for the 2F portion if I would get the points?
I already have a Bachelors from UC Merced, would I still get the points for ADN to BSN GE certification?
I dont think I have a Humanities or Arts class...like when I got evaluated at Merced College after I went to the UC, nothing translated to Area C. But the JCs website says that if I have a Bachelor's already then I meet all minimum requirements?

Yes, but only as long as you have the required classes to transfer to BSN, ie. Statistics and maybe Psych 101 not sure , you'd have to look at the MSPAR and see exactly what classes are listed. But yes, you can get points for both.
Ballerinabelle I also have a Bachelor's so I can give you some advice on the 2F area. The students who already have a Bachelor's are considered to have met all minimum requirements for the associate degree from MJC. The courses listed under ADN to BSN GE certification are above and beyond those requirements because they will eventually be used for a BSN. In order to claim those 2 points on your application the supporting document requires a meeting with one of the designated allied health counselors to sign off on the form. So if you think you have all the courses listed I'd schedule a meeting with them asap.
