Hey all,
While looking at information for the Modesto Junior College RN program I came across an awesome thread on here for the 2018 application period. It was great to read through and see how much they motivated each other. It gives us an opportunity to stress together and bond while waiting to see if we get in. I am hoping to make a successful thread for those of us ready to apply in May.
Best of luck to all
Here's the new MSPAR for for fall 2020/spring 2021. Application process will now be Feb 2020.

the top 80 will be admitted pointswise, 20 will be in the lottery (as long as you have a minimum of 60 points) for fall 2020 and beyond. Some of you may benefit from this, others won't. From my understanding, it's more competitive because only the top 80 people in points will get accepted and not 100, which means the average points per person will be up. Here's my point of view on this... you don't have at least 78-80 points(based off of the new MSPAR), you probably won't be selected because you are competing with MORE people w/ LIMITED slots on points alone. Don't rely on the lottery because they are only taking 20 out of the 500+ applicants.

Hi Halfcourt 95k,
Its definatly nice to know how much points the the cutoff may be when we are all comparing our chances etc. If you don't mind me asking did your buddy apply to MJC or Columbia.
Also, has anyone turned in their supporting docs? Was wondering if they give your a receipt of some sort for proof etc...
I got asked for supporting documentation as well but am very close to the cutoff etc so trying to remain hopeful. All the info everyone is posting defiantly helps.

Hi Ann!! I applied with 79 points. If I don’t get in I will consider LVN, but likely finish my language classes and keep working as a CNA to increase those points. And maybe retake my TEAS.

Wow congratulations for so many points! That is a great score! Good luck!!
Hi, can somebody so graciously help me? I fell off the wagon on my application and am SCRAMBLING to get all the supporting documentation.
On the application it says I need Official transcripts for all my schools...including Columbia...but then it says if we took classes at Columbia we do not have to include official transcripts...should I still include those Transcripts or no?
Also it asks for Official TEAS score? Can I send it online or does it all have to be in the one packet I submit? Cause I can print my scores but they won’t be official.
thanks guys!!
Also I had 73 points...I’m on the lower end of the spectrum. I will probably take language classes and retake the TEAS to raise my score the next go around ?.
