I am trying to find like a database of mistakes. Nursing mistakes. I have always been very forward about any mistakes I make and make every effort to let everyone know what they are so that they don't have to make the same mistakes. So I am trying to find a place where I can go to read about others mistakes so that I don't have to repeat them. Any advice?

You are going to make mistakes either way. Everyone does. It's part of being human.

Check out the Institute for Safe Medication Practices at http://www.ismp.org. Their newsletters cover at least a couple of these errors every issue.

The most important thing is to recognize when you have made a mistake. Such as a med error. Breaking sterile technique and such.

Other than ISMP, this is one of my favorites....http://www.webmm.ahrq.gov/index.aspx
click on the tab, case archives. If the facility you have offers case study reviews or discussions more popularly known as, Nursing M&M, get to them!
