I am currently enrolled to get my BSN online. I received my background check results and it shows a misdemeanor from 2011. It stated it is a C1 charge with a short description of a licence plates or drivers license suspension issue, I vaguely remember this, but don't recall any details. Says I paid a $98 fee. I have been an RN since 2006 and was recently audited in 2016 and everything came back fine. My question is, will this affect getting into the BSN program?! I don't even know what this charge exactly wasðŸ˜ðŸ˜• feeling like I'm a criminal of some sort

I'm not trying to be funny or anything but how do you not remember if you went to court?

perhaps it was a mail in?
I didn't go to court, I do however remember going to courthouse to pay a fine. That's why I am hoping it is no big deal, if it were I think I would remember. Seems like a non moving violation. I talked to my uncle who is a police officer and he said it could be from my plates being overdue by several months. Which this could totally be...i hate the dmv

I think the bigger question is, were you required to report it to your BON? And if so, did you?
If you haven't done so, you might consider contacting the jurisdiction in which you paid the fine, and request a copy of the proceedings.
Best wishes as you work through this.
