MiraCosta, Palomar, Grossmont Fall 2019 Applicants

Published

Hi!

I know it's early, but I thought I would start a thread for anyone applying to the nursing programs at MiraCosta, Palomar and Grossmont for Fall 2019. Let's share information and cheer each other on!! I've heard so many different ranges for points...I'm estimating I'll have somewhere between 87-89 points. Good Luck!!

Bachelors 10pts

100 hours volunteering 5pts

4.0 Science Prerequisites 30pts

3.5 Fix Set Prerequisites 13pts

Life Experience 1-3pts

TEAS 28pts

I haven't, but I've tried to sign up for it. The CNA class fills up fast if you don't have an early registration date at Miracosta. There's only 15 spots available

Thanks! I figured that was the case. There are 2 classes w/ 20 spots each in the fall, so perhaps I will get lucky but I won't get my hopes up. My reg date is very late.

Has anyone heard anything from Palomar?

I just got my acceptance email from Palomar ?

Me too!! My Instagram is @sharonloayza

add me I have tons of questions I’m not from the area lol.

Hi guys,

I just got my acceptance to Palomar's program ?

I don't really know how to reply to people's comments, but I just added you! ^^

I still havent heard from Palomar still. Congrats to everyone that accepted though ?

Congrats to everyone who got accepted to Palomar Nursing! And for those still waiting for acceptance letters or call, don't lose your hope yet. This is a long process and you can still get accepted few weeks before class begins or after the orientation if a spot opens up! I'm currently a student at Palomar and it's really a privilege to be able to attend this school as Palomar is very well known as one of the top nursing school in san diego among the community and the hospitals here. Just wanted to come by and answer any questions you guys may have that I can hopefully clear up for you.

I was just accepted. I’m not from the area so I don’t know too much. Do you know the percentage who pass the NCLEX, and the percentage who receive a job soon after the program?

I have tons more questions about class size, the professors, and which hospitals we do our rounds in lol

On this website https://rn.ca.gov/education/passrates.shtml Palomar had a pass rate of 95.52% in 2017-2018.

Congrats to upcoming palomar nursing students ! !! I am in second semester at palomar and hope to see some of you around. it is quite an adjustment specially for first semester students, but you will enjoy it. we really want to have more communication among the different semesters and just help each other on this journey. don't ever feel shy to come up to other semester students and ask questions. if you have any questions before starting feel free to email me at [email protected].
