Published

Hi!

I know it's early, but I thought I would start a thread for anyone applying to the nursing programs at MiraCosta, Palomar and Grossmont for Fall 2019. Let's share information and cheer each other on!! I've heard so many different ranges for points...I'm estimating I'll have somewhere between 87-89 points. Good Luck!!

Bachelors 10pts

100 hours volunteering 5pts

4.0 Science Prerequisites 30pts

3.5 Fix Set Prerequisites 13pts

Life Experience 1-3pts

TEAS 28pts

Thanks for sharing!! ?

Hey guys, I have a question about retaking the TEAS. Does anybody know how long Miracosta allows you to retake the exam if you want a better score? I know Palomar wants you to wait 2 years and Grossmont allows you to retake it 30 days after your first attempt in general.

If you got above 62% you have to wait 2 years as well to retake for Miracosta. Their policy is on the PDF that goes over how points are allocated.

Okay, thank you Ness Nurse!

Does anyone have any updates on Palomar?

I know on the website it says we'd hear back at the end of the month, but really hoping it's sometime this week!

I emailed them yesterday and they responded by saying that we should hear of any updates by the end of the month. ?

Hi all! I apologize if this is a bit off topic, but I'm curious if anyone here has done the CNA training @ mira costa or if anyone knows how quickly the classes fill up. Thanks!

I haven't, but I've tried to sign up for it. The CNA class fills up fast if you don't have an early registration date at Miracosta. There's only 15 spots available

I think if you qualify for EOPS or TRIO, you can get an early registration date.
