Hey there! I am creating this thread for all applicants to Mira Costa and Palomar for the Spring 2018 semester. Hopefully we can cheer each other on and take some of the waiting anxiety away together. My scores were somewhere between 78-84 points with a teas score of 78.6%. As you can see, VERY average. Can anyone enlighten me on the difference between Palomar, Mira Costa, and Grossmont? Grossmont does currently have its own page, but the more informative sources the better! Thanks and good luck to everyone!
Hi guys! I'm in the program about to finish first semester! My cohort was one of the most competitive cohort in terms of points! we had 36 people accepted and there was 4 people IN CLASS that were still alternates and didn't found out that they were officially in the program until week 4. So we had 40! they added 4 more students in. Technically they aren't supposed to since they can only take so much people for clinical. But they figured out a way. However for those of you guys waiting for acceptance don't worry! most alternates get in! if you have at least 75, you're in good shape. 78 points were the cut off for my cohort I believe. If you guys have any question about the program don't mind emailing me! I wish I had someone help me through the process and what to expect! email [email protected]
Hi everyone! I have been following for quite some time. I applied to Palomar for fall semester and got rejected. Re-applied hoping for the best. I finally had to make an account to share my frustration! My heart sank when I read that people started receiving their acceptance emails. I would assume all acceptance emails went out and only rejections are for tomorrow? Maybe not? Who knows! I have received NOTHING. I am losing hope.
Thanks to that person for the info..nice of you. Tropical, I feel I will be in your position as someone who may have to apply again...it sucks but I can tell you I work with nurses who had been turned away and had to reapply the next year etc...it happens and seems ill be in that category. I am considering back up plans, San Diego is a tougher and more competitive area so for someone like me who will have mid 70 points I may be stuck looking elsewhere. I feel ya though as it is a drag to have to go through literally years of classes and applications. Its a life long career though so the investment does pay off.

I emailed them and they responded with all emails will go out by tomorrow. I did not get an acceptance or decline email yet but I'm probably assuming I'll be getting a decline letter with the lack of points I think I have. But fingers crossed some of you other ladies will get acceptance letters! Maybe he just notified the first cohort and are waiting to notify the second?
