I have finally gotten everything situated with my classes and GPA to FINALLYYYY apply! I am sending in my application this week, just finished up my chem class with a B thank god. I have a 3.0 GPA for my prerequisites and about 60 to 63 points. What do you think my chances are for getting in? When I talked to my advisor she said if I got a B in chem then I should have no problem but my worrying self doesn't want to wait that long to see. And how long did it take for a response. Application deadline is August 15th. Any helpful advise would be appreciated!!
Congratulations!!! I also just got my acceptance email as well. I'm currently in UTA also and i'm guessing we're probably in the same boat. I have few questions if you don't mind. 1)Are you meeting with your advisor here at UTA to tell her you won't be attending UTA anymore? 2) Are you doing the online orientation for MSU, because i am quite confused if its for transfer students or incoming freshmen, although i have emailed someone about that.I will really appreciate any insight you have on these questions. I applied to Mustang Village also for next semester, hopefully i get a spot there and hopefully i see you around :)
You don't have to meet with your advisor and let her know you won't be attending for the Spring semester, but I do recommend calling financial aid and having them cancel your award and then contacting Midwestern State and letting them know if you were the recipient of any state or federal grants because I know some are able to transfer with you!
I did online orientation for MSU yesterday, I recommend it because you have to be enrolled in classes to receive aid and seeing how on campus orientation is after financial aid disbursement, it will delay your refund. if you go to the orientation section of the website you can just do it there, its pretty easy. common sense really.
Hope this helps, good luck!
do you guys think its better to find an on campus apt or to go with the school?
I don't really know what you mean, because on campus apartments are with the school. I am living in Mustang Village, it is the cheapest, with a private room and bedroom, all bills paid including cable and internet. but Mustang Village is located off campus (the only off campus apt. that can be booked through housing but the school provides a shuttle to take you to and from campus)

lol i wrote that question all wrong ...i meant off campus. Good to know though i also requested mustang village ..... Do you already live there? or have you already gotten your room assignment?[
I'm actually not sure about that. I just spoke with someone but she said maybe tomorrow, maybe at the end of the week and that she couldn't notify the Director to just remove my hold. I didn't ask her to only remove my hold, I asked her if my hold would be removed within the one business day it says they should be. She finally told me the latest it would take would be by the 13th so there's our answer... hopefully.
Ive been extremely busy! Tomorrow is my off day which ill start checking out apartments. Honestly when I looked more into the complexes around campus I think mustang is my best bet. However!!! Why do they not have a one bedroom one bath? Will we be sharing an apartment:( let me know you guys. Im such a clean freak and I know it might be difficult living with other people im not accustomed to:(
I also did the early orientation yesterday , I thought they would have cleared my hold but they haven't yet. I wonder if they are just waiting till november 13?
I don't already live there but I went to visit this past Friday and I LOVED it!! Room assignments will be listed Late November early December.
My hold hasn't been cleared and I did it yesterday too, but I don't know I think they said 24 to 48 hours.
Got a email from Jeana with a Word document attached. I had to accept my invitation to join the Spring 2015 cohort, so I did that earlier today! For anyone who is or thinks they may be on the waiting list, all responses from students that were accepted during the first round of acceptances need to be sent by November 25th! That means hopefully you'll get be in the second round of acceptances sent on the 26th... At least I pray so! If not, please don't feel discouraged! They've accepted students up until the first day of classes so I really hope to meet everyone!
