  1. I also have that health assessment cluster! YAYY!!
  2. I don't already live there but I went to visit this past Friday and I LOVED it!! Room assignments will be listed Late November early December. My hold hasn't been cleared and I did it yesterday too, but I don't know I think they said 24 to 48 hours.
  3. I don't really know what you mean, because on campus apartments are with the school. I am living in Mustang Village, it is the cheapest, with a private room and bedroom, all bills paid including cable and internet. but Mustang Village is located off campus (the only off campus apt. that can be booked through housing but the school provides a shuttle to take you to and from campus)
  4. You don't have to meet with your advisor and let her know you won't be attending for the Spring semester, but I do recommend calling financial aid and having them cancel your award and then contacting Midwestern State and letting them know if you were the recipient of any state or federal grants because I know some are able to transfer with you! I did online orientation for MSU yesterday, I recommend it because you have to be enrolled in classes to receive aid and seeing how on campus orientation is after financial aid disbursement, it will delay your refund. if you go to the orientation section of the website you can just do it there, its pretty easy. common sense really. Hope this helps, good luck!
  5. Finally I just got my official letter of acceptance!! Good luck to everyone who got accepted & God bless! .. If you were wait listed be patient it will all workout for the better!
  6. For the first semester the class is "Family Health Assessment & Clinical" they are combined so I think we are referring to the same class. My schedule will consist of Family Health Assessment & Clinical, Pathophysiology (retaking it, because I currently have it online and not learning anything), Medical Terminology, and Health & Wellness (all in class, no online) which is 12 hours, I have to stay a full time student too. I am going to live in Mustang Village through the housing department so I will pay 2,400 for the whole semester, all bills paid including cable and internet
  7. Yes, I have 73 points and I am #15 on the list of applicants.
  8. The first semester is 12 hours but some people have completed courses like stats, intro to nursing, and path and aren't required to take those the first year ... I am only required to take the clinical.
  9. If you can Jeana she will let you know your ranking and you can tell if you got in or wait listed. They are supposed to be sending out official letters this week or next. I would make housing arrangements ASAP because once they send out official letters you now have about 70 or so people all looking for places to live (availability is based upon when you pay your deposit) I chose Mustang village as my first choice because it was the CHEAPEST, you get your own room and bathroom, (3 bedroom 3 bath apartments) and even though you are not on campus its not far and a bus will provide routes to and from campus. Parking passes are only like $50 so I plan to purchase one of those too ... Its really like my old apartment at UTA (4 bedroom, 4 bath) and I spoke with a person who currently lived in this apartment and she says she loves it! My second choice was Sun watcher village ... now this one was a little tricky on the application for housing they don't ask you what kind of room you would like but it is available in two form (2 bedroom 2 bath, or 4 bedroom 2 bath) ... It is more expensive, but on campus, if you get a 4 bedroom you have to share a bathroom. I know how girls are and I don't know if I want to get an apartment like this again. but on the plus side it is near the middle of campus, not too far to get to any destination. oh, and it is the CHEAPEST of the apartments actually on campus I have never been to MSU and I haven't seen the apartments for myself so this is all based upon what I say on the website and my person opinion for the style of the apartment, they all look to be nice. Hope this helps!
  10. MSU has a early orientation that can be done in November and December that DOES NOT require you to go to the school. I talked with them and they said they will send out a link no later then early next week you watch a couple of videos, take a quiz at the end (you have to make a certain score) and then the orientation hold will be removed from your account and you can register for classes. I'm going to try to go that route.
  11. Never viewed the campus, I was planning for a visit but I didn't want to make that drive three times. Let me know what you think about Mustang Village (thats my first choice for housing) I also need two more class, I'm taking the clinical and pathophysiology and I want to be full time so I plan on finding two filler classes (thinking maybe a physical education class), I've already taken psychology & I don't know if financial aid will let me retake it, but we can try! We can work on not being so overwhelmed together because I will be about three hours from home! oh, & that does bring up a good point about finical aid dispersal ... if you get an answer please post it on the thread because I am really curious to know. Moving schools mid-year is proving to be a hassel.
  12. I don't know but I've been wondering the same thing ... If you don't know your ranking contact Jeana, and you can pretty much tell if you got in or waist listed, but for me I need the official letter so I can help get my tuition paid, and I am really curious how they are going to do orientation, I'd like to do the new student orientation and nursing orientation on the same day so I don't have to drive to Wichita Falls twice, and I would like to register soon because I need a couple of easy filler classes so I can be a full time student So stressful!
  13. Does anybody know anything about MSU's transfer scholarships? I currently have a 3.6, enrolled in 12 hours and looking to make a 4.0 this semester .. well hoping.
  14. compare tuition rates how much financial aid each of the schools gave you distance from family and friends (even though you might not be able to see them that often because you will dedicate most of your time and energy to the program a support system is needed) compare NCLEX pass rates (even though MSU is a semester longer, like you said I feel like I would be more comfortable there) length of the program background of the program (see if you can do a little research and see what employers are saying about the graduates of both MSU and SHSU) cost of living and any other things that interest you about the potential area for you to be living in & MSU NCLEX pass rate for 2012 was 83.57% and about the same for 2011, so maybe they just had a minor setback and have already made a few changes to adjust accordingly to get back on track Hope this helps :)
