Microbiology - Summer 09

My class starts on June 1st. Its a 10 week long semester and I'm taking it along with A&P II and General Psych. Thought I would start this thread since I know a few others have to be taking it this summer too. I'll let you know what we have in the way of assignments and tests when we start. We're using the Cowan textbook btw. I'm actually excited about this class, should be fun. :yeah:

Neshia - good thinking to ask your schools again. It never hurts to be absolutely sure so that you don't waste time and money!

Just wanted to chime in about my Summer Micro. Started two weeks ago, it is a six week class. My professor is difficult. He even told us that he will be harder than our other professors because he wants us to think. Yes, it is good to think, but it is going by very fast. That is good in a way, but we have to read the text, read the online power points, take notes in class, and he suggested that we tape the lectures. I just had my first test today. I make a's in my classes and I just don't know about this one. But I start NS in Aug and this is my last support course so I wanted to get it done and over with. Good Luck to everyone. I have three more lecture tests, two lab practicals, two unknowns in lab to get through yet:nurse:

Dr. **. Found out made 83 on test 1, not too happy about it but at least I didnt fail it. Next test is Monday and practical is Tuesday

My Micro class starts in July and it's only 4 weeks long. I'm nervous but I've been in a 4 week A & P II class for the past 3 weeks to prepare me for the fast pace. Micro is my last pre-req. I start my nursing classes for my BSN in August!

i have the same 2 exact classes at the same exactly times... the only difference is that i start RN instead of BSN. and i MIGHT start it this fall semseter if im lucky enough to get a spot!!

Sand Dollar, thanks for starting the thread. I'm 1 week into my 8 week class and we're using Tortora & Funke. First exam is next week and my kids are driving me nuts as I try to study! Good luck to everyone!

I also started mine last week and its condensed into 6 weeks. We go over a chapter a day. I am really starting to contemplate dropping the class. I just feel like things are going wayyy too fast and I don't want to risk getting a bad grade. Class + lab is about 5 hours a day.

My teacher just up and quit, 3 weeks into the semester. Nice, yeah?

Oh well, I'm still doing okay. Just started two weeks of fermentation labs. I hope there's good results tomorrow.
