Just wanted to Start a study group for spring semester .I thought it will also be fun to give pop questions for us to make up from our classes and answer to help us learn more. Hope to hear from u guys
We also need to find a current Associated Press Newspaper article that relates to Microbiology.
Welcome!!
This was released yesterday...
Well, I got my first test back and I got a 95% so I'm pleased. We are now doing the Chemistry of the cell. Regarding question 1, I don't think that spiral bacteria have cytoskeleton. I believe that is for Eukaryotes ie. cytoskeletons, microtubles and microfilaments. We didn't go into the other details for the other questions but good luck on your exam.
I'm much more calm now. This week we had a quiz and a test. Our teacher allows us to hand grade once we've handed in our tests. I got a 100% on the quiz and 98% on the test plus 4 extra credit points from my typed study guide. That almost makes up for the 20 points I missed by having emergency surgery the first week of class -_-.

Rod/bacillus bacteria have a cytoskeleton that is made of actin. They are the only kind of bacteria that have it I believe.
Does your textbook have a supporting website where you can go online, get more info, and take practice quizzes? I usually just study from my prof's powerpoint slides and the text. But I think I may try the website that goes along with my book: www.mhhe.com/nester5 tonight because I have my second micro test tomorrow. Good luck on your first test!!! :-)

I would like to join your group. My first test is Thursday. We also need to find a current Associated Press Newspaper article that relates to Microbiology. I am actually having trouble finding one (and it can't be about the Salmonella Peanut one.)
