Are you all ready!!? I am super nervous so I wanted to create a thread for support!!

In my nervousness I bought some additional supplies which I hope helps! I got this for Micro Lab

http://www.amazon.com/Photographic-Atlas-Microbiology-Laboratory/dp/0895828723/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1377279257&sr=1-1&keywords=atlas+microbiology

It was recommended by my school and the reviews are great.

I also got the study guide the goes along with my text book.

I hope this helps!! I'm going full time this semester but I will be studying my micro every single day/night!

I just took my first quiz! BAM 100%. Granted, it was mostly about microscopes, but I'll take any 100 I can get!

Thanks! I'm taking a hybrid course so some of our material is online but we meet for 5 hours on certain Saturdays.

Took my first lecture test on Monday and got a 98% So excited!! We had our first lab practicum on Tuesday so I won't get that grade until Monday. My professor is great and I really like her.

Aced my first exam!! woohoo! Just gotta keep it up!

Lucky!! And congrats! Our first exam isn't until the17th

Took my first exam yesterday, waiting to see the grade I received. This isn't going to be easy! (I must say I don't have the best professor, so most learning will be on my own:banghead:).

Does anyone have any good study skills or ANYTHING that can help me out, I really want to pass this class and not withdrawal. Just 3 more classes and I'm ready to sign up for the Nursing program. (withdrawling is the furthest thing from my mind so I need all the ideas for study and staying focused you guys have:)) Thanks in advance

Good study skills, hmm, here's a few:

- take good notes. I mean REALLY good notes. Especially since you're going to be basically teaching yourself.

- flash cards can be amazing!

- dont get behind

- stay head!

- study little by little every day instead of cramming.

Good luck!

To me this class was strictly memorization. I learned a lot and I am grateful for the professor that I had because now I am able to comprehend so much in my AP II course. Have an open mind about it and you will do great. This class is really fun in my opinion. Youtube can help with the DNA part

Ack! Just had my second class! It's really interesting but a lot of work. We meet next week online!

I postponed Micro for the Spring. There is a lot on my plate now. In the mean time I am taking the fluff courses..lol

I had my first test a few days ago on Wednesday. I got a 69% and that was with curving. :/ I feel so lost in this class but i know i didnt study enough. one test is dropped at the end though.

The lab part of the class has me even more lost, we started our microscope quiz and I was the only one in class who didn't get any points and my lab group seemed annoyed by any questions I asked. I get another chance at the lab quiz on Wednesday but I already feel unconfident. :/
