Hi all!
I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)
Hello all, please I seriously need your opinion and advice. I was accepted into an accelerated BSN program in Virginia that starts in May, and it happens to be a private college. The length of the program is 2years and I get to pay 25k for the period. (The program is 25k for both years excluding books and all). On the other hand, I'm thinking of declining the offer and applying to MDC accerelated program which is a period of 12months and way cheaper, but is not an accelerated bsn. My overall gpa is 3.0, and my science I believe should be around 3.5. What do you guys suggest I do?
Is better for you to call them and ask him , but I'm pretty sure you have to go in person because you need to give them 100
I am currently in the nursing program last semester. I would go for the BSN. Miami Dade for the most part has bad professors that really don't teach much or don't know the material themselves. I've had really good ones but the don't outweigh the bad ones. The college is now struggling to keep up their NCLEX scores and not loose funds because of the low scores. So they are doing anything to get their rates up. They don't care about the students at all just the school. If you sign up for a clinical b/c its close to your house they usually put you somewhere different. If I knew all this I would've gone somewhere else.
Hello, I wanna know if there is an exam or not for January2016, because the mdc website just say all gpa 40% and natural science 60%.
I know the website hasn't been updated, but yes there is a HESI exam that you have to take to apply for Spring 2016. You have to go to see an advisor in Medical Campus in order to apply.
Hey guys just a question . Does any one know the schedule for the program ? Is it 2 times a week in the morning or every day in the morning for full time generic ? Also for the part time since I applied for both ?
I think it depends on the sequence that you initially sign up for when you register for classes or so I read in a previous post/thread. If you initially registered for classes for sequence 1 or 2 you have to stick with that sequence for the remainder of the program, but class schedules may change due to clinical sites. I could be wrong so don't quote me on that. Hopefully a current student will be able to help you with your question.

Can anybody tell me about admission?
I am applying for fall 2015, and I have to travel to other countries in May and June.
So If you get in the program and got acceptance letter, should you do something? Should you send documentation to office or should you visit the Medical campus in person to keep your seat? Or can you just call them you want to the program? Because I am will traveling, I need to know the process. Can anybody kindly advise me?Thank you very much.
