Hi all!
I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)
Hi Jaclyn
I did not pass OB, and I'm feeling so devastated. I had professor (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME). Most had to do with me not passing HESI, but my grade going into HESI was not the strongest either. Is there any insights on improving my HESI score (eg additional study resources). Thanks
Hey please email me i have a ton of questions on tje transition rn progarm. I feel like its hard to know somebody whos doing the same route. Please email me at [email protected]
i am in accelerated program and currently taking OB with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME), AMAZING PROFESSOR!!! the class average on first test was 54/60. highly recommend her, however she is in medical campus not homestead. and yes, hesi has an online calculator. if you go to hesi website you can log on to check compatibility and itll appear just like the real hesi screen and you will be able to do some random irrelevant questions just so you can see hesi format.

Hesi fundamentals was not challenging. Hesi ask straight forward questions and they focus on basic knowledge we should have as "nursing students". The most important thing for every Hesi exam is to do practice questions as well as the case studies. The school will provide you with the website and all the information you need in regards to this website. I suggest purchasing a Saunders or Hesi comprehensive study guide
Good luck to all students starting this Fall at MDC. I'm going to start 3rd semester and its definitely a journey, not impossible, but extremely challenging. Dedicate time to your family, get everything in order at home and if possible, read ahead in your free time to get in the mood of what is coming. Buy the HESI Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination, that's gonna be your bible. HESI is going to be the test that will allow you to pass or fail the semester, since its 15% of your grade. Don't underestimate it.
Stay positive and NEVER give up, YOU GOT THIS!!
