Hi all!
I wanted to start a thread for all of the Spring 2015 MDC RN applicants. I finally finished all of my pre-req's, and have started studying for the NLN PAX RN exam. I am hoping this thread, like many other MDC threads of the past, can help us all to build friendships, support one another, and most importantly, help us through this difficult process. Welcome! :)
I'm sorry I don't have that list anymore, they should have given you the list during orientation. Anyways, they have changed the books since I started on January, they are using Evolve- Elsevier books now. With your schedule you can go to the bookstore website and with the class code and reference number see the books for every class.

Great thanks! what has been the hardest semester so far?
Just finished second semester at Homestead both Pharmacology and Med Surg were challenging. Fundamentals was hard for some due to the critical thinking issues. Re. Critical thinking for some it comes easier to than for others.
oh wow I wish I knew what books to purchase so that I can start reading for fundamentals. Can I keep in touch with you if I ever need to purchase any books you may be willing to sell?
Good luck to all students starting this Fall at MDC. I'm going to start 3rd semester and its definitely a journey, not impossible, but extremely challenging. Dedicate time to your family, get everything in order at home and if possible, read ahead in your free time to get in the mood of what is coming. Buy the HESI Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination, that's gonna be your bible. HESI is going to be the test that will allow you to pass or fail the semester, since its 15% of your grade. Don't underestimate it.Stay positive and NEVER give up, YOU GOT THIS!
