Miami Dade College Spring 2016 nursing program admission

Updated:   Published

Good morning/night to all who are reading this,

I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).

Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ? ? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

Has anyone in the AO program printed the syllabi yet ?

Pick any color it doesnt matter. I have seen pink, purple, orange, etc.

Yeah, make sure you get the emblem embroiled.

Thanks alot. As far as anatomy, do we have to know every little detail or will broad knowledge of the main organs, bones, and muscles do? Either way I've been refreshing since I took A/P 3yrs ago.

The book goes over whatever you need to cover regarding anatomy, so dont waste too much time studying A&P. Pathophysiology will be really helpful for pharmacology.

I went to Jackson today and apparently my name wasn't on the list.... anyone came across the same problem?

I have, I can send it to your email if you haven't gotten it already

Are you a part of the Accelerated Program or the Full Time Generic?

If you are with the Full Time than you won't have to worry about it till the clinical orientation. If you are apart of the Accelerated than I would recommend calling the office at the medical campus.

So basically other than the math(dosage calculations), there's not too much you can do to other than wait till class starts and take things as they come?

Also regarding the scrubs, are you sure they won't notice different scrubs, even with the emblem embroiled? Seems like this year they were really stressing wearing scrubs by and only by MDC medical bookstore.

As always thanks in advance Eru ?

So me, but the issue was cleared, the list had my second last name. (pinareño, cubano al fin) I have some docs as Name - last name, others with Name- Initial last name- 2last name. a mess. maybe you have the same error on the list

I came across the same problem but that was on the week of November 21st so I will check again today.

Hello everyone! I have those books(pics) for sale. They helped me a lot with my fundamentals class, specially "answers & rationales".

I also have the skills, fundamentals, and pharmacology books for sale.
