I created this post in the hopes that all applicants applying for the nursing program at Miami dade submit their experience they have had so far and also submit any questions they might have. I'm currently applying for the accelerated option but would like to hear what others are doing in the part time and generic option. A little about me is that I have a BSN in health science (2014) and have taken all the prerequisites with the exception of A&P 2 (which I am retaking in summer b June 22).
Right now my biggest concern is the hesi a2 exam we have to take and making sure i ace it because my science gpa is not so hot right now. I have read prior posts and it seems like A&P is the most challenging section. Has anyone taken it as yet? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm worried that after they evaluate my degree they might not take my science subjects and make me re do them ?? . Has any one's transcript been evaluated yet?

Yeah I'm going to be there Mon through Thurs, 7am-2pm, all December except you know Christmas or something. So whenever is best for you guys, I'll be there regardless. That's my plan because if I don't start now.... hahaha
What book do you use to study for HESI? I've heard that it's a very important part of the entire program. I would like to get a head start for it. Are you selling that too?
Use the green HESI book by Elsevier. Just search for it in amazon.
Yesss, ME lol, I got a short term loan, and I have to pay 702 before december 10. do what ever you have to do, then we will apply in the futurre for whatever appear.
I stopped by school to get some clarifications on some topics y'all have discussed. As for name tags, not every hospital requires them. You can call the school of nursing on any campus to find out if your Hospital requires it. My clinical is at West Gables, which does NOT require name tag.
Also, our Fundamentals of Nursing 8th edition textbook, and our other textbooks, are the last of its kind. New editions will be coming out February 2016 . This is the reason for the "bundle" deals at the bookstore. If we try to resell, the bookstore will buy back for $16. SO, I'm abusing my books and writing as much as I'd like in them .
